I don’t know how much love this going to get, but I’m really quite taken with it. What do you think of [name]Sibylla[/name]? I prefer it over [name]Sibyl[/name] a little because I think it’s softer. I’m just not quite sure about usability. Thoughts?
I, personally, wouldn’t use the name.
I don’t honestly care for the name [name]Sibyl[/name] either.
But, if you like the name then use it!
If you’re unsure about it, then it would probably be best not to use it
Sorry if I wasn’t much help.
I like it, but I like antiquated names. I have seen more Sybillas than Sibyllas though. I would probably use [name]Sybilla[/name] and call her [name]Billie[/name] for short.
I think [name]Sibylla[/name] sounds prettier than [name]Sibyl[/name] (but I’m not too fond of the name [name]Sibyl[/name]). If you are pronouncing it the way I think you are (which would be [name]Si[/name]-bill-a) rather than like [name]Sibyl[/name] with an “a” at the end, I think it is a good name choice if that is how your personality speaks, or the second pronunciation if that is what you want. In the end, just go with your gut, it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks, she is your baby to name as you please (just please, no ridiculous names like [name]Meta[/name] World [name]Peace[/name]).
I adore [name]Sibyl[/name]… I think [name]Sibylla[/name] is a bit over-embellished for my taste, but it certainly has a lovely sound. Definitely a good option!
Haha, promise! Nothing ridiculous.
I can’t go crazy over names with a Y in the middle or the letter before end, as opposed to ending in Y … I aren’t sure why, just my taste. [name]Sybil[/name] doesn’t jump at me and [name]Sibylla[/name] I know I definitely wouldn’t use it… meh. It’s your choice at the end of the day, depending on whether your expecting and how many months/weeks you have left, tastes change and you might totally go off it by the time your holding baby in your arms! xx
Sorry, but it looks like a kreatif spelling, and kind of sounds like a disease to me! I much prefer just [name]Sybil[/name].
I don’t care for it at all, but I may be the wrong person to ask because I don’t like cybil/[name]Sybil[/name] either.
I think it’s the way it looks and the sound of it too. I just prefere [name]Sicily[/name] or [name]Simone[/name] or other “si” sounding names.
I get where you’re coming from, but [name]Sybil[/name] is actually derived from [name]Sibyl[/name], derived from [name]Sibylla[/name], so if anything it’s the most legit spelling of the lot. I do get that Y’s have become a sign of trendy names, so it’s something to think about.
I prefer just [name]Sybil[/name]. But I think that is because it is the most recognized. Also, [name]Sibylla[/name] reminds me of [name]Sabella[/name], which I really don’t like. [name]Sibylla[/name] certainly is very lovely, but since it seems to cause a fair amount of cunfusion, I would most likely use it in the middle.
