Opinions please… we have 2 names that we really want to use: [name_f]Tori[/name_f], which is my grandmothers middle name and [name_f]Kellie[/name_f], which is my middle name after my grandfather.
We would like to use [name_f]Tori[/name_f] [name_f]Kellie[/name_f] (Surname [name_m]McLeod[/name_m]), but does this end in too many ‘ee’ sounds?
Other names we like are [name_f]Freya[/name_f] and [name_f]Macy[/name_f]… but those names are just names we like and don’t mean anything to us. Suggestions? Thanyou
I agree with this. I think [name_f]Tori[/name_f] [name_f]Kellie[/name_f] sounds a bit off. [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] could still be in honour of your grandmother, since [name_f]Tori[/name_f] is typically a short form for [name_f]Victoria[/name_f].
While I appreciate the sentiment behind the names, [name_f]Tori[/name_f] [name_f]Kellie[/name_f] isn’t ideal. Either use [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_u]Kelly[/name_u] as a full name or choose something like [name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Kellie[/name_f] (this way you get to honour two people AND choose another name :)).
[name_f]Tori[/name_f] and [name_f]Kellie[/name_f] sounds a bit off to me too. I’ve had a similar problem with first and middles sounding too samey. It’s annoying when you have 2 names you love, but just dont fit.
I’m with everyone else. Use a name that [name_f]Tori[/name_f] is short for with [name_f]Kellie[/name_f]/[name_u]Kelly[/name_u] in the middle and you’ll have avoided the double ee sounds.
[name_f]Toria[/name_f] is a real name that’s right there close to [name_f]Tori[/name_f] and means the same. [name_f]Toria[/name_f] [name_u]Kelly[/name_u] is nice. Or Toriana [name_u]Kelly[/name_u]. [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_u]Kelly[/name_u], [name_f]Vittoria[/name_f] [name_u]Kelly[/name_u], [name_u]Tora[/name_u] [name_u]Kelly[/name_u]…
