Could I use Willa?

This is all hypothetical, but could I ever use the name [name]Willa[/name]? There are a LOT of [name]Williams[/name] in my family. My cousin is [name]William[/name], a few great Uncles and grandfathers had [name]William[/name] in their names, my brother in law is [name]William[/name] (the 3rd), my father in law is also [name]William[/name] (jnr- called [name]Bill[/name]) and his father was another [name]William[/name]. Basically, when I have a bub, that bub’s uncle, grandfather and (second) cousin would be some type of [name]William[/name]. If I wanted to use [name]Willa[/name]…is that too much?

[name]Willa[/name] [name]Mae[/name] B*ck

I kinda like it

I like it, too! [name]Willa[/name] is so charming and sweet, and it could be a really nice way to honor all those [name]Williams[/name] without actually using [name]William[/name]. There are probably 15 Johns that were born within the past 100 years in my family tree, my brother and dad are both Johns, so I would use [name]Jack[/name] to honor all of them. I think [name]Willa[/name] works just as well, and [name]Willa[/name] [name]Mae[/name] is adorable. I would totally use it!

Good luck!

It maybe an issue if little [name]Willa[/name] has a few cousin [name]Will[/name]'s her same age. I’d give up on [name]Willa[/name]

Interesting that a few people liked it. But I think I agree with Nat108…there is a distinct possibility that a number of cousins could be ‘[name]Wills[/name].’ Thanks for the input

I would use it. Why can’t girls be named after their uncles or grandfathers? I think it’s sweet.

I know you didn’t ask for other name suggestions, but just thought I’d throw one out to you- my daughter is due in [name]July[/name] and we are naming her [name]Lia[/name], after my dad ([name]William[/name]). That may work for you, too.
To answer your actual question, I think having a [name]Willa[/name] amongst the [name]Williams[/name] would be just fine!
