Absolutely! My personal favourite for [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is [name_f]Millie[/name_f], which is not exactly intuitive. I would looove to name a daughter [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], but here in Australia it’s in the top 20!
Sure, I think [name_f]May[/name_f] definitely works
[name_f]May[/name_f] is definitely doable (and very beautiful). I also have [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] and [name_f]Mimi[/name_f] on my list of nicknames for [name_f]Matilda[/name_f].
I think that once you get into the realm of nicknames, really anything can go. [name_f]May[/name_f] doesn’t seem unreasonable in the slightest!
It wouldn’t be conventional, but it could totally work! [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] nn [name_f]May[/name_f] is so spunky and sweet. I’m not a fan of [name_u]Mattie[/name_u] or [name_f]Tilly[/name_f]. You may also like [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] nn [name_f]Maud[/name_f], as [name_f]Empress[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] was called.
bonfireazalea love your suggestion of [name_f]Maud[/name_f], it is such a spunky name, and [name_f]Millie[/name_f] what a sweet name I hadn’t thought of that as a nn though.
rollo
I chose love, to mean of course it works.
Ooh, lol. [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is on my favorites - if I’m ever going to have a [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], she’s probably just be [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], or occasionally [name_f]Tilda[/name_f].
Not that I enjoy looking for nn’s. [name_f]May[/name_f] is a great nn for [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], but honestly nn’s, they can be anything.
