Could these ever work as a sibset?

Hello berries!

I’m having a dilemma. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite boy’s names, ever, are [name_m]Sylvester[/name_m], [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m], and [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]. I’ve always been quite pleased with that; they seemed to be about the same length, about the same amount of “familiar,” and each had an easy nickname ([name_m]Sly[/name_m], [name_u]Abbey[/name_u], [name_u]Harry[/name_u]).

However, right now I’ve completely fallen for [name_m]Roger[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u]. I can’t stop thinking about how adorable [name_m]Roger[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u] “[name_u]Rory[/name_u] and [name_u]Jem[/name_u]” would be.

Except I also can’t let go of the idea of [name_m]Sylvester[/name_m], [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m], and [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]! [name_m]Can[/name_m] [name_m]Sylvester[/name_m], [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m], [name_m]Roger[/name_m], [name_u]James[/name_u], and [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] every work as a sibset? [name_u]Or[/name_u] are the names just too mismatched?

Thank you!

Why not? They all seem like relatively classic choices to me. More likely the real issue will be choosing which you will use first since how likely are you to have 5 boys in real life?

Thank you!! I’m glad you think so!

probably  I may end up with [name_m]Sylvester[/name_m], [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m], [name_m]Roger[/name_m], and dogs [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u]

They could definitely work but [name_m]Sylvester[/name_m] seems a bit out of place.

They are not expected as a sibset, but they work. To me [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] gives me a different vibe but they still do work.

Thanks, Laur! It’s interesting to see how differently people view the vibe of a name.

Yeah, I agree. But they do sound very good together!

I don’t think siblings need to match and you have some really nice names here.

I’m personally a fan of:
[name_m]Sylvester[/name_m]
[name_m]Ambrose[/name_m]
[name_u]James[/name_u]

I think in the UK [name_m]Rodger[/name_m]/Roger is sexual slang.

Well, I’m not UK-based so that doesn’t bother me. Thank you for you input!

Thanks, [name_f]Kate[/name_f]!

IMO, [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] is the odd one out of these names style-wise, since it feels more surnamey and modern than the others. [name_m]Sylvester[/name_m] is the most unusual, and my guess is non-nerds might see him as the odd cousin. But they’re all usable together! The most important thing is that you like them all.

James “[name_u]Jem[/name_u]” is great! I wish that NN were more common.
