Is having sons named Bugsy and [name]Marlon[/name] too close to the movie Bugsy [name]Malone[/name]? Personally, I doubt that many people these days are incredibly acquainted with the movie but please set me straight if you think I am wrong. My mother seems to think it’s a terrible idea.
Our son Bugsy was named for Bugsy [name]Malone[/name] as it holds special significance to my husband.
While I was trying to think up a meaningful boys name someone suggested to me to name him after and actor or movie character that I loved. Well, [name]Marlon[/name] [name]Brando[/name] has been my favourite actor since I saw A Streetcar Named Desire when I was 10 years old. My Great-Grandmother, who I was extremely close to, met him in 1951 and was also a huge fan of his work. And well, I am really starting to adore and love the name [name]Marlon[/name].
Please let me know what you think? Are the names too recognizable? Is it stupid to name both of our sons for Actors/Movie Titles?
Thanks in advance,
[name]Lila[/name]
