Your list:
[name_m]Otto[/name_m] I would avoid since you have [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] who also ends in -o
[name_m]Ivor[/name_m] I would avoid because it ends in -or and your daughter [name_f]Cora[/name_f] has a strong -or-
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Love[/name_u] it BUT you do have [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] with the strong U in the first syllable also. Personally I wouldn’t use it because of that and the fact that it’s only one syllable as opposed to the older children all being 4 letters and 2syllables.
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] I would avoid for the same reason as [name_m]Otto[/name_m] ([name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_m]Otto[/name_m] & [name_u]Theo[/name_u] to together well but are too matchy for me)
[name_m]Luke[/name_m] I would avoid because you already have a [name_f]Lilly[/name_f]… And trust me keeping that first initial is really nice & also Its one syllable while all your older children are 2 AND its another strong U in the first syllable ([name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_u]Jude[/name_u] & [name_m]Luke[/name_m] all go together nicely but are very similar with the U sound there and it’s too much for my personal preference)
[name_m]Otis[/name_m] this one I could go either way, you have Co- in [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and that’s a strong O sound, and a strong O ending [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] (personally I would avoid it, but I don’t dislike it.)
Your kiddos:
[name_f]Lily[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_m]Abel[/name_m]
My pick for you from your list:
Thanks is tough because I don’t dislike any of them, but they all have striking similarities … Which is fine, these are the things you personally like in names! Now with also having 4 letter names, that this far have been 2 syllable is a really lovely pattern… So far they all have unique initials and sounds and meanings! That makes your name choices very strong and individual which I like personally. Also as a parent… Being able to hear the clear distinct sounds of specific kids names, and just put initials on things… It’s a really nice thing. I recommend you use your list to find something uniquely your 3rd son’s name by narrowing down things you really like from things that are standing out.
So a name beginning in
B, D, E, F, G, I, J, M, N, P, V, W, X, Z
I’ve excluded A(for [name_m]Abel[/name_m]), C(for [name_f]Cora[/name_f]), H(for hugo),K([name_f]Cora[/name_f]'s I sound), L(for [name_f]Lily[/name_f]), O([name_f]Cora[/name_f]'s I sound), Q(I don’t like how it pairs with [name_f]Cora[/name_f]), U([name_m]Hugo[/name_m]'s I sound), Y( U sound)
Ending in
B, c/k, d, m, n, r, s, t, w may be the best ending sounds for your list
It seems you like L, O, U sounds a lot! Which is great and they are such bright and strong sounds.
You may want to keep O names an option - this leaves [name_m]Otis[/name_m] in my mind as a really good top from Your list.
You may want to keep looking for something that ends in a U sound like a -w name?
Or something like Truet - though it’s not 4 letters, can be pronounced Troot and but my preference is for the 2 syllable [name_m]Tru[/name_m]-it, could you consider baby #5 starts a new theme of 5 letter 2 syllable names? Would expand Your options but totally you can find the perfect name with no compromise so only consider that if you want to!
Your girls names are both sort of nature names so you may want to consider that with your girls
For one syllable names if you are looking at both one and 2, [name_m]Bram[/name_m] perhaps? [name_m]Jake[/name_m] ([name_m]Jacob[/name_m] being another 5 letter suggestion)
5 letter suggestions:
Truet
[name_m]Jacob[/name_m]
Garet
1 syllable suggestions:
[name_m]Bram[/name_m]
[name_m]Jake[/name_m]
[name_u]Sage[/name_u]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_m]Abel[/name_m] & [name_m]Otis[/name_m] would be my suggestion from your list
I will reply again with any 2 syllable, 4 letter suggestions soon!
[name_f]Happy[/name_f] name hunting!
