So, after deciding on a short list after months of discussion and debate ([name_u]Arlo[/name_u], [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] and [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]), my husband comes out of nowhere tonight and says “I think I like [name_m]Eli[/name_m]”.
Now, this may not seem to be an issue as it’s a great name, except for the fact that [name_m]Eli[/name_m] was the name I was really in love with when I was pregnant with [name_m]Xavier[/name_m], and back then he claimed to hate it!
Since that time I have gone off [name_m]Eli[/name_m] a bit, I think partly because I have come across a few and partly because I had resigned myself to the fact I wouldn’t ever get to use it…
So what are your thoughts? Could [name_m]Eli[/name_m] be a brother to [name_m]Xavier[/name_m]? To me they don’t really seem to have the same feel…
Yes, [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] and [name_m]Eli[/name_m] would make a smashing brother duo. Different styles can be complementary. Many Biblical names can “match” well with more exotic choices. I would encourage you to pick your long lost love [name_m]Eli[/name_m] before your husband changes his mind again!
I think [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] and [name_m]Eli[/name_m] fit together well - although I’d slightly prefer [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] & [name_u]Elias[/name_u]/[name_m]Elijah[/name_m] nickname [name_m]Eli[/name_m].
Thanks to everyone for all the positive feedback [name_m]Eli[/name_m] is back on the list! Hopefully our little man looks like an [name_m]Eli[/name_m]!
