Marvelous list, May!
Rose and Marie are tied for first place.
Rose Madeleine: I love Rose! Such sparse, unplucked beauty. I also really like Madeleine, but I’m not sure about the pronunciation. Either way, it’s a stunning combo!
Marie Sunday: I’m surprised by how much I’ve grown to love Marie. I had a great Aunt Marie and I always associated Marie with an elderly woman because of that, but as I see it more and more on here, Marie’s becoming imbued with a chic youthfulness for me. And Sunday is just a darling middle name.
From there, my list ranks:
June Ferelith and Anya Cosette: I really like the first names to both of these and while I like Cosette because of Les Mis, I’m not keen on Ferelith.
Lisette Honey: Fresh, interesting Lisette! French braids and blue dresses, it’s lovely. Maybe a tad too delicate for me. I actually know a Lisette and I thought of you when I met her! And her name does sound nice, but I’m not wild about the name right now. Unfortunately, I’m not keen on Honey.
Fern Copellia: I don’t like the name Fern. It’s unromantic to me and makes me think of the sound “urn,” which is not melodic like your others. I’m also not keen on Coppelia since it gives me unsavory imagery.
August Peter: Handsome, classical combo that perfectly captures the cottagecore aesthetic!
I’d rank these all around the same:
Alistair Poet, Philip Cosmo, Wesley Forest, and Timothy Briar.
I like Alistair, but not Poet. I’ve actually known a Scottish man by the name Alistair, so it gives me slightly old-fashioned, but intelligent vibes. Similarly, Philip Cosmo is nice, but I’m not wild about the nn Phil, which I’ve only known as a “dad name.”
Whereas for Wesley Briar, Wesley isn’t strong enough for me, but I’m a fan of the middle name Forest Timothy Briar is nice as well, but Timothy/Tim isn’t strong enough for me either and I don’t like Briar for any gender.
Lastly:
Todd Isidore: Todd makes me think of tater tots (my mind is strange and immature ) and although I’ve known a great Todd, it lacks the elegance of your others. I’m also not sure about Isidore.
