These are from the 2004 Idaho vital statistics. I wish they were more current, but it’s still interesting. Obviously some are more bizarre than others- I think [name]Olive[/name] is a cute name, and [name]Fennel[/name] isn’t too bad. Anyway, I thought Nameberry folk would enjoy this list. (Btw, it’s just a random sampling according to [name]Vital[/name] Statistics, not comprehensive)

Thank you [name]Kathleen[/name] for sharing these interesting statistics. I’m all for creative baby naming but some of these names border on the ridiculous. Some of my pet peeves are all here: misspelling (Sublym, Indyana, Fynyxx, Mem’ree), word names that should just stay that way (Surreal, Catcher) and names that are so “yewneek” it’s frightening (what on earth is Honniscrave or Sagedricht?). Sigh! I wonder what these parents are thinking? Or are they thinking? I do feel very sorry for these children.
I agree with you. I can’t stand the terrible misspellings and bizarre creations. I did find the 2008 sampling of [name]Unique[/name] Names/Yewneek Spellings from Idaho and I can’t help but add them on here. [name]Just[/name] for laughs.
