Create a Family (CAF) With a Twist

Campbelle ‘Belle’ [name_f]Jenna[/name_f] Greene-Donner [18] is the girl who came second place to [name_f]Peggy[/name_f] for homecoming queen, twice. The first time it stung but the second time it was expected and [name_f]Belle[/name_f] probably cheered louder for her win than anyone in the entire gym. Despite looking like a Lifetime movie’s teenage protagonist she’s actually sort of goes against the grain in some aspects. She’s the youngest of three kids with two older brothers, her parents had actually mistakenly been told that she was another boy which is why they picked the name [name_u]Campbell[/name_u] for her, until they were shocked by the doctor lifting up the newborn and saying “It’s a girl!” They made due by feminizing the name a little with the additional ‘E’ at the end which would become the nickname she grew to prefer.

Like her brother’s she’s an athlete and plays softball as a pitcher, being on the team is where she met her current girlfriend who also attends the college that [name_f]Belle[/name_f] is at currently studying accounting since she’s always been good with numbers. She might be spending a little more time back at home though despite her moving out due to a sudden announcement from her parents. Her mom is pregnant again!

The news was a shock to the whole family, her mother had thought she was beginning to experience menopause symptoms but eventually discovered that she was instead having another baby. It was a little bit of a disappointment considering that the couple was sort of looking forward to being empty nesters, but nonetheless they are overjoyed to be having another baby and it also looks like the score between the sexes at the Greene-Donner family are about to be settled, the baby is another girl! [name_f]Belle[/name_f] is very excited to be a big sister but does worry about how things will change for her now that she’s no longer the baby of the family.

[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u] [Donner] Greene-Donner (44) is Belle’s mother, who got the surprise of her life learning she was expecting for a fourth time. A successful optometrist, [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] herself comes from a large family, being the second of six children. The environment she grew up in could become quite contentious, given there were so many kids jostling for attention, and it influenced her own parenting decisions, namely how she actually went on an extended leave from her career when the children were young, to ensure the same fighting didn’t break out. Her husband’s career allowed him to work from home, however [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] wanted to spend maximum time with the family she adores so much, and although her career’s important, she didn’t want it to consume her, especially with her trio being born in fairly quick succession once the couple had both respectively graduated from college.

Seeing [name_f]Belle[/name_f] pursue her own interests means a great deal to [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] in particular, as when she was offered a scholarship there wasn’t much support from her parents, who thought she needed to stay at home to help continue managing sibling conflicts, and they’ve maintained quite a cool relationship since she left. There have been times [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] has taken her own children to see them but it’s few and far between, given the existing discomfort on both parties behalf’s. While her parents are a sore spot for [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], her siblings are absolutely embraced by her now, and it does sadden her that they’ve ended up quite far apart in terms of location, with three living in different states and the others not exactly being round the corner either. Due to her upbringing, [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] also tends to mother certain friends of her own kids, especially anyone experiencing a form of rejection or isolation, but she’s careful in not overstepping boundaries, given how parentification dominated the Donner household for the older kids. Belle’s girlfriend has firmly been added to the ranks of the family by [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and her husband, who always want the significant others of their kids to feel embraced and comfortable.

Given the naming of her soon-to-be older daughter, [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and her husband are going with a similarly unisex choice for their younger girl, to create cohesion between their children, and their current favourites are [name_u]Aspen[/name_u], [name_u]Emery[/name_u], [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] and [name_u]Hollis[/name_u] [middles are a bit trickier as it’s going to be a feminine choice complimenting the choices of the three eldest, and honourifics are firmly out given [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and her husband have too many options between them and nowhere near enough kids for it to feel even or fair]. She’s very excited to welcome another child, in spite of how big of a change it will be - what with the ages of her other kids - granted she doesn’t know how the family cat, Scamp [a tabby rescue adopted two years ago], will react to being usurped as the receiver of coos and baby talk.

[name_m]Clay[/name_m] [name_m]Marius[/name_m] [Greene] Greene-Donner (44) is Eloise’s husband and father to three; soon-to-be four! He works from home but outside work, he’s outside quite a lot. He’s equally surprised by Eloise’s pregnancy which is ironic given people he works with online thought they planned it. They think [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_m]Clay[/name_m] were trying so hard for a fourth while they still could and usually associate surprise pregnancies with younger people, which [name_m]Clay[/name_m] replies, “You’re never too old to feel surprised.” [name_m]Clay[/name_m] was the one who originally suggested [name_u]Campbell[/name_u], which [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] jokes is because he wanted a C name for the (not at all) “last son”. Well, that pregnancy wasn’t last, wasn’t a son, and wasn’t named [name_u]Campbell[/name_u]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] like [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], he wants the first name for the daughter-to-be to be fully unisex, not just a feminised name. Truthfully [name_m]Clay[/name_m] felt awkward about the Campbelle name but he’s grateful she’s worked it by going by [name_f]Belle[/name_f]. [name_m]Clay[/name_m] actually didn’t want the name [name_u]Campbell[/name_u] for it being a C name and he ironically found it the only C name he cared for at the time…although Campbelle will “do for him”. [name_m]Clay[/name_m] actually dislikes super matchy names and all his children have much different middle names despite following the idea of non-unisex middle names. This actually came from him and his wife having similar middle names and Clay’s father dad-joking, “Did you [name_f]Mari[/name_f] her for the similar middles?”

He’s happy the family feels more together and they’re all excited for a new sibling, even if it felt like it came out of the blue. It will take some getting used to, especially with huge age gaps, especially the eldest given he has the largest age gap but also for [name_f]Belle[/name_f], ending an 18-year-streak as youngest. Like [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_m]Clay[/name_m] gets along very well with Belle’s girlfriend and he’s very close with his children’s friends. Growing up, his children used to dislike when [name_m]Clay[/name_m] didn’t approve of a friend of theirs and when he called them a “bad influence” but the more they grew, the more grateful they were for this, even asking [name_m]Clay[/name_m] what his honest opinions were on the people they hung out with. [name_m]Clay[/name_m] playfully won’t admit it, but he may be catching on with his father and may be making dad jokes right around the corner…

[name_f]Erica[/name_f] ‘Wylie’ [name_f]Melody[/name_f] Wyling [18] is the girlfriend of Clay’s daughter, [name_f]Belle[/name_f]. She was a center fielder on their high school’s softball team and continues to play that position in her college team. She’s pretty much been a fixture in the Greene-Donner household since she and [name_f]Belle[/name_f] were sixteen when they first started dating. She’s very friendly with both [name_m]Clay[/name_m] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], as well as the two older boys in the house. Likewise [name_f]Belle[/name_f] is pretty close with Wylie’s family too.

She’s been very comforting to her girlfriend over the fact that she’s about to be promoted from ‘youngest’ to ‘middle,’ trying to reassure her as best she can. Thankfully she’s got some experience in that area, [name_u]Wylie[/name_u] and her little sibling are 14 years apart, not as big a gap as [name_f]Belle[/name_f] and her unborn sister, but still enough to be jarring for her at the time. She’s also been teasing [name_f]Belle[/name_f] about how a baby in their lives will be good practice if they ever want any ‘rugrats’ of their own someday. Though the two girls are still firmly planning on holding off any settling down for at least ten years in the future.

When not out on the field, [name_u]Wylie[/name_u] is studying to become a physical education teacher, ideally for the middle school grades but she’d be happy doing whatever she can get. To make extra cash she also does personal training for some of the other girls on her dorm floor, she’s actually met some of her best friends this way!

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] Wyling (4) is the younger sister of [name_u]Wylie[/name_u] and can always be counted on to enthusiastically cheer her on when she’s attending a game. Sports aren’t really Clara’s thing personally: she’s an artist who loves painting, drawing and even is asking her mom to ask her how to teach her to make felt pieces. This is alongside her other great adoration of mythical creatures, specifically mermaids, which has made her more enthusiastic about swimming lessons, given the association. Clara’s also taught by a friend of her sister’s from high school, and this increased her confidence around the water, as anyone [name_u]Wylie[/name_u] approves of quickly achieves the good will of her baby sister [and she’s vocal about this].

Unlike the Greene-Donner’s, Clara’s birth was firmly planned. It was their choice to freeze some fertilised eggs shortly after Erica’s birth that allowed them to conceive again, but they consulted her before starting this process, as they didn’t want her feeling put out or excluded. While it took them several months, the pregnancy itself was smooth and pleasant, with them choosing her middle name as a nod to Wylie’s - but [name_u]Aria[/name_u] felt too on the nose. Aside from her friends, art and watching The [name_m]Little[/name_m] Mermaid on repeat, Clara’s enthusiastic about her next door neighbours Dachshunds [two of the sweetest dogs imaginable]. She’s allowed to go on walks with her dad when he’s helping their neighbour out, and her parents are anticipating questions for a pooch to be added to their household in official capacity.

cw: NICU stay and newborn health issues mentioned

[name_f]Ianthe[/name_f] [name_f]Apollonia[/name_f] Nivison [4], [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] [name_f]Melitta[/name_f] Nivison [4], and [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f] [name_f]Thais[/name_f] Nivison [4] are kindergarten classmates of [name_f]Clara[/name_f], They share her love of The [name_m]Little[/name_m] Mermaid and recently went as three Ariels last Halloween. Though recently they’ve been moving on to [name_f]Moana[/name_f]. Whatever movie they choose to obsesse over, they’ll do it together. They’ve been inseparable almost since they were born, being triplets their mother went into labor prematurely at twenty-seven weeks pregnant.

They tried to stall her labor but [name_u]Baby[/name_u] A, [name_f]Ianthe[/name_f], was already entering the birth canal so she had to be delivered. After she was born they put a stitch in their mother’s cervix to prevent [name_u]Baby[/name_u] B and [name_u]Baby[/name_u] C, [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] and [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f] respectively, from following their sister. Since [name_f]Ianthe[/name_f] was in a separate amniotic sac from her sisters (who were sharing a sac as they’re identical twins) they were largely unaffected by the early labor. Thankfully using a combination of inverted positioning and drugs, their mother’s labor was stopped. Both her and her, now born, daughter had to stay in the hospital for month an a half.

During their stay both mom and baby, and remaining unborn babies, were monitored very closely. Due to her premature birth [name_f]Ianthe[/name_f] was very sick, she needed to be on a ventilator for her underdeveloped lungs until she miraculously started breathing on her own at one month old. Two weeks later she was joined in the NICU by her sisters after her mother went into labor again.

The three sisters stayed in the hospital for two more months. Despite [name_f]Ianthe[/name_f] technically being six weeks older than her triplet sisters, developmentally they’re all very similar due to her early birth and both the girls and their parents consider them to be triplets still. As their mother says: “Just because they’re born a month and a half apart, doesn’t negate the seven months when I carried them all together.”

In terms of birthdays, they celebrate in a specific way. On Ianthe’s birthday they celebrate her privately, on [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] and Eulalia’s birthday they split it into two days to celebrate with them privately to prevent jealousy of their sister or each other. One of them gets the day before their birthday and the other gets the day on their birth certificate, swapping who gets what day every other year. And on the anniversary of the day all the girls came home, they celebrate ‘Triplet Day’ which is the day that any birthday parties usually get held on.

[name_f]Ianthe[/name_f], [name_f]Delphi[/name_f], and [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f] are all perfectly healthy girls now. As complicated as their lives seem, they and their parents wouldn’t have it any other way.

Warning for absorbed twin and one-night stands.

[name_m]Margus[/name_m] [name_m]Tiidrik[/name_m] [name_m]Lukus[/name_m] (28) is a kindergarten aide and friend of [name_f]Ianthe[/name_f], [name_f]Delphi[/name_f], and Eulalia’s mother. Unlike his younger brother [name_m]Urmas[/name_m] (nicknamed “Spermas” by [name_m]Margus[/name_m] when [name_m]Margus[/name_m] is in a troll mood), [name_m]Margus[/name_m] isn’t the girls’ sperm donour. [name_m]Margus[/name_m] is sure he has no biological connection to any children in any way. He has a secret he’s kept from the Nivison family - he had a one-night stand with the triplets’ aunt. This was 4 years ago and while he feels awkward now, he feels less awkward than if the timeframe was more recent. She had a 4-year-old son, the triplets’ cousin, but has reassured [name_m]Margus[/name_m] is not his father. She wouldn’t lead him on like that and she’s stated the father was another man from a different one-night stand, one who did not use a condom. However she raises her son as a single mother due to lack of involvement from this man.

[name_m]Margus[/name_m] has always found a connection with the triplets and wishes he was a multiple birth. And he would be a multiple birth as well. In early ultrasounds of his mother’s pregnancy with him, he was actually a twin in-utero with another foetus but due to vanishing twin syndrome, the foetus of [name_m]Margus[/name_m] absorbed the other twin, turning it into a single pregnancy. [name_m]Margus[/name_m] always felt bad that he “caused his mother’s miscarriage” but knew it wasn’t his fault. At the time he met his friend, he was nervous during the explanation of the triplets’ time in the NICU but was grateful they were happy and safe. [name_m]Margus[/name_m] promised to be the best father he could be when he would have kids one day. He knew things weren’t perfect but he’d be as supportive as he could to them and also be as kind as possible to the mother.

While [name_m]Margus[/name_m] was finishing a conversation with the triplets’ mother, [name_m]Urmas[/name_m] went up to [name_m]Margus[/name_m] and stated there was something serious to talk about and he needed to be there immediately. The triplets’ mother asked if she should get involved and [name_m]Urmas[/name_m] replied, “If you want.” She was confused why she was given a choice but didn’t feel like she wanted involvement, so she declined. [name_m]Urmas[/name_m] told [name_m]Margus[/name_m] in a private room that the supposed father of the triplets’ cousin took a paternity test and he was not the father. That’s why he refused to get involved - he didn’t believe the 4-year-old son was his. [name_m]Urmas[/name_m] also explains the reason he gave the triplets’ mother a choice whether to hear the conversation was because it affected her family, potentially in a life-changing way. [name_m]Urmas[/name_m] states he will give privacy in what is happening next and [name_m]Margus[/name_m] frantically asks what is happening next. [name_m]Urmas[/name_m] leaves and the mother of the 4-year-old son comes in and states that she thinks [name_m]Margus[/name_m] was the father of her son after all. She thinks something malfunctioned with the condom and that [name_m]Margus[/name_m] should take the paternity test. [name_m]Margus[/name_m] agreed to take it - it was positive!

Urmas was created by me.

cw: sexism, custody issues

[name_f]Nicasia[/name_f] " [name_u]Nikki[/name_u] " [name_f]Margot[/name_f] Walderen (27) is the mother of Margus’s’ child, the aforementioned cousin of the triplets and their aunt. To say her life is complicated right now would be an understatement: Nikki’s pretty overwhelmed. The root of the paternity revelation stemmed from custody issues. While Nikki’s ex didn’t believe he fathered her son, his parents absolutely did, and began pushing to assume primary custody of him. Their reasoning was that [name_u]Nikki[/name_u] had the audacity to not be in a relationship with anyone at the time of conceiving, which was all they needed to know to push for her parental rights to be diminished, in spite of their son protesting. To say he and [name_u]Nikki[/name_u] have been on poor terms for several years is an understatement: he called her a plethora of insults when she revealed her pregnancy [entirely blaming her] and accused her of attempting to trap him, when in reality she genuinely believed he was the only reasonable answer for the father of her son.

Although it was a shock to discover the seemingly impossible had happened, [name_u]Nikki[/name_u] was somewhat relieved in another sense, as it meant not having her son around people who absolutely despised her, when their child was also behaving recklessly [and is suspected of having fathered another child on an ex-girlfriend, who was only seeing him at the time; he refuses to acknowledge them as well]. They made one last attempt at fighting - insisting the test was wrong or [name_u]Nikki[/name_u] somehow sabotaged it - but this was thankfully dismissed in court, and since then, blocking their moves to see her child have been much easier; a weight lifted from both he and his mom’s lives.

Throughout this madness, Nikki’s ensured her son’s been shielded from the chaos and mudslinging. She’s been prone to negatively comparing herself to her sister [the triplets mom] who she feels has always excelled at being responsible far better, and not bringing madness in the wake of her actions. This hasn’t dampened the sister’s closeness, nor that of their children’s, as the cousins absolutely adore one another and have a huge array of games they play when spending time together: after all, having a boy present means certain roles can now be fulfilled much easier - namely as Nikki’s son loves pretending to fly, so the mermaid princesses gain a much needed bird-man ally. He often spends two nights a week at his aunt and uncle’s, as [name_u]Nikki[/name_u] has to work late twice in her job as a paralegal, with it assuring her family are there for her son if she can’t be physically present.

Since the test came back positive, she’s kept [name_m]Margus[/name_m] at an arms length emotionally, while processing the revelation. She knows her son deserves to know the truth and be given an opportunity to bond with his biological father, but at the same time she doesn’t want to force anything either way, and knowing Margus’s bond with her nieces has made [name_u]Nikki[/name_u] a little apprehensive: she doesn’t want her son feeling like there’s a competition with his cousins for closeness. For now, Nikki’s been focused on ensuring the legal side of things is sorted out - to keep her son’s alleged former grandparents aren’t raising hell - but she knows a proper conversation is needed, and that really does scare her.

[name_m]Justus[/name_m] [name_u]Beau[/name_u] Walderen (4) is [name_u]Nikki[/name_u] and Margus’s son; unaware of the feud between [name_u]Nikki[/name_u] and the “psuedo-father”. He noticed Nikki’s emotions when realising [name_m]Margus[/name_m] was his true father but didn’t understand why she felt the way she did. Still, he’s glad “whatever made [name_u]Nikki[/name_u] react this way” has helped her far more than it’s hurt her and it’s made him hug and be more affectionate towards his mother. [name_u]Nikki[/name_u] feels better the farther [name_m]Justus[/name_m] is away from anything regarding his “pseudo-family”. [name_m]Justus[/name_m] has seen [name_m]Margus[/name_m] more and knows his bond with his cousins but has no idea [name_m]Margus[/name_m] is his father. [name_m]Margus[/name_m] hasn’t told him yet since he’s waiting for a more honest conversation with [name_u]Nikki[/name_u] before making moves but [name_m]Justus[/name_m] is aware of how often he’s seeing him and believes this will be a staying thing, still unaware it’s only getting closer.

[name_f]Ianthe[/name_f], [name_f]Delphi[/name_f], and [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f] are Justus’s favourite playmates in his life and he loves spending as much time with them as he can. He loves being the “bird-man” and firmly believes magic is real. [name_m]Justus[/name_m] is a silly boy with a big imagination. He loves making up stories and playing pretend and he especially loves dressing up as wild beasts and monsters. He’s particularly fond of pretending to be a bird-man, and he’ll flap his arms and soar through the air, making tweeting sounds as he flies around his cousins. The girls play along, pretending to be mermaid princesses with long silk gowns and sparkling tiaras. [name_m]Justus[/name_m] and the triplets have a lot of fun together, running and playing and pretending to be whatever their imaginations can conjure up. He loves his aunt and uncle too, enjoying their delicious desserts, especially on his cousins’ birthdays. He’s close with his aunt and talks to her a lot but still, [name_u]Nikki[/name_u] is still his #1 closest bond and he’s always rooting for her.

[name_m]Judson[/name_m] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] [name_m]Burns[/name_m] ‘Judd’ [27] is Justus’ ‘pseudo-father’ in question and Nikki’s ex-boyfriend. They two met when they were both the only two people who stepped out onto the balcony during a party to smoke. [name_u]Nikki[/name_u] has since quit and moved onto an e-cigarette while [name_m]Judd[/name_m] has not and continues to smoke cigarettes. Both out of habit, addiction, and the fact that it’s not a half bad way to meet girls apparently. They started hooking up periodically until one of the instances seemed to lead to conceiving [name_m]Justus[/name_m]. [name_m]Judd[/name_m] of course didn’t take to his impending fatherhood too well. Unbeknownst to [name_u]Nikki[/name_u] he had more than just intuition that made him believe that he couldn’t’ve fathered [name_m]Justus[/name_m].

When [name_m]Judd[/name_m] was 18 he went out and got a vasectomy since he knew his personal track record of being promiscuous and often ill-prepared without protection was just a pregnancy waiting to happen. He never really mentioned his sterility to others since it often brought on judgement from people, particularly older folks who insisted that he would someday change his mind. So he often left partners, [name_u]Nikki[/name_u] included, in the dark about the truth.

However upon doing his own research he concluded that he was the 1 out of 4,000 men who’s vasectomy reverses on its own. So he chalked Nikki’s pregnancy up to bad luck and agreed to pay the child support in exchange for being able to continue to mind his own business, save for a few visits on birthdays at the urging of his parents.

Still the thought nagged at him that something was off. During one of his visits he snagged Justus’ toothbrush and took it in to a lab. He walked on eggshells for weeks as he waited for the results, only to be vindicated in his instinct.

Since being relived of fatherhood he’s been up to his old tricks and getting up to the same old trouble. He’s tried to get his parents to drop the whole custody thing with [name_m]Justus[/name_m] but despite the judge ruling against their favor they continue to try and get back into their ‘faux grandchild’ and his mother’s lives.

[name_f]Maude[/name_f] [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] Nivison, nee Walderen (31) is Justus’ aunt, Nikki’s sister and someone who never had that much good to think or say about [name_m]Judd[/name_m], not that he had any liking for her either. Having been pregnant with her triplet daughters at the same time [name_u]Nikki[/name_u] was expecting [name_m]Justus[/name_m], the two sisters’ became almost inseparable, something that greatly amused their parents, as until they were 17 and 21 respectively, the pair didn’t really spend much time together, thanks to their age gap and different interests.

[name_u]An[/name_u] illustrator, [name_f]Maude[/name_f] primarily works with children’s book authors and also designs wall and wrapping paper, specialising in woodland critters: inspired by her happiest memories going on family camping holidays. She jokes she’s a ‘terrible artist’, as her nature’s not at all impulsive or wild: Maude’s always been a homebody who enjoys peaceful pastimes, such as playing the piano or harp - instruments she took up as a kid - reading the psychology books to fascinate her consistently throughout life, or embroidering little designs. In her words: Nikki’s the fun one - and Maude’s not become unhappy about this, as she loves her sisters’ sense of creativity when it comes to socialising.

Maude’s mother is from a Greek-American family, which inspired her decisions regarding the girls’ names, something she discussed with her husband in advance to conceiving their children. On the Petridis side of the family there are a lot of multiples - Maude’s uncles are twins - so it wasn’t a surprise to learn she was expecting three daughters, however the birth complications were understandably traumatic, and not solely on a physical level. She admits to her husband she worries dearly about her daughters’ thanks to the delivery being so complex, however works hard to not smother or hold them back, as she knows they deserve to explore and adventure to their hearts’ content.

[name_m]Fraser[/name_m] [name_u]Callan[/name_u] Nivison (31) is Maude’s husband and the father of the triplets. Although when telling his friend that his wife was having triplets, his friend asked, “Are you the father?” Don’t be too worried, [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] found this a hilarious joke and responded, “Wow, haha. You did not just say that! Hahahaha!” He and his friend have been friends forever, and they’ve gotten so close that outrageous jokes are common between them. He and his best friend are born in the same month but on opposite ends of the month. He’s kept his outrageous jokes with his friend away from most people because many people don’t quite understand the friendship behind that humour. They would never make a “who’s the father” joke around [name_u]Nikki[/name_u], [name_m]Justus[/name_m], [name_m]Judd[/name_m], or [name_m]Margus[/name_m] for obvious reasons and they’ve been completely respectful of that. [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] and his friend love self-deprecating humour even more and they laugh at Maude’s jokes about being a “terrible artist” although they both love her illustrations.

[name_m]Fraser[/name_m] is close with his in-laws and loves his mother-in-law’s Greek and American roots especially how authentically Greek the triplets’ names are. He helped decide which names to use but credits [name_f]Maude[/name_f] with the overall suggestions. [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] supports the American side as well seeing that [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] is a sucker for American food and he and the family have flown from [name_f]Canada[/name_f] to the States every once in a while for vacation. Ironically despite there being 50 U.S. states and 227 Greek islands, the triplets can collectively can actually name more islands than states. [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] knows quite a bit about airlines, he works for one but only in advertising for one. People ask if he’s a pilot and he says it “kills him” having to explain that he just helps with their commercials. However he likes that has been seen by millions of flyers around the world and he’s also helped with promoting airline safety too. That guy in the airline safety videos that tells you about emergency exits and flotation devices? That’s [name_m]Fraser[/name_m]!

He’s not going to lie that it did scare him, for both his wife and his triplet daughters, during the deliveries. He is grateful they are all okay and he’s very supportive of the hospital staff who helped the family through this. He’s given them gifts and befriended a few doctors and nurses, even attending the college graduation of two of the doctor’s grown children - who also happen to be twins. [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] finds triplets to be very cool and always makes their birthdays adorable and special. He loves hearing about Maude’s twin uncles and about how multiples are more common in her family. Fraser’s side of the family was surprised and almost didn’t believe it. [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] himself wishes he was a multiple, which unlike [name_f]Maude[/name_f], none of his known relatives are multiples. He’s proud of his sisters though even if he’s the only male. After all, as his best friend and sisters joke, being the only male with just sisters really helped him prepare for being a father of only female triplets.

[name_f]Mathilda[/name_f] ’ [name_u]Matty[/name_u] ’ [name_m]Florent[/name_m] [name_m]Cox[/name_m] [27] and [name_f]Edith[/name_f] ’ [name_m]Eddy[/name_m] ’ [name_f]Jayne[/name_f] Constable [26] are two people who are very familiar with [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] and see him everyday, but have actually never met him. Instead they show his videos to the passengers of the planes that they work on. Part of their safety presentation involves acting out the actions being shown on the video as it plays to ensure that all passengers can see.

To keep things lively and fun they often start out by telling their passengers that they’ll be “Introducing our friend here to help us out.” and then giving a random name, usually a portmanteau of two real names to create a completely crazy and fictional one. It started as a method of trying to make each other laugh and break during their presentations, but has now become a running gag between them and the rest of the crew. Some of the names they’ve used have been Bartholomicheal, Lesland, Arrothan, Willonald, and Travowen.

They’ve become very close in their time as flight attendants, having bonded over both having ‘old lady names’ and ‘little boy nicknames,’ as well as both having last names that start with the same two letters. In fact some of their coworkers refer to the girls as ‘The CoCos’ due to their shared first two initials and the fact that they’re often side by side.

[name_u]Matty[/name_u] is the more reserved of the two, often needing to be convinced to go out with [name_m]Eddy[/name_m] and the other flight attendants during their spare time between flights. Whereas [name_m]Eddy[/name_m] is usually the one organizing those ventures and slinging back cocktails at hole in the wall clubs all over the world. She actually met her now fiancé this way when her and her coworkers were out at a nightclub in Moscow and she started dancing with a local. Before she left she wanted to get his number but was a little too tipsy to be thinking straight. She instead handed him her credit card and disappeared out the door back to the hotel.

Thankfully instead of stealing her identity and ruining her credit, he looked her up with the name on the card and reached out to her on social media. They started dating online and eventually met up again in person earlier this year, that was when the proposal came. To her surprise, [name_u]Matty[/name_u] had been helping him coordinate the event! She’s now promised to help try and set her up with someone at the wedding.

[name_m]Sulien[/name_m] " [name_u]Sully[/name_u] " [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] Crosshouse (27) is the guy Eddy’s considering setting [name_u]Matty[/name_u] up with. This has been after an extensive assessment of every guy due to attend the wedding nuptials, and a practical review of their compatability, of course. Having met while attending college, [name_u]Sully[/name_u] and [name_m]Eddy[/name_m] have maintained their friendship in spite of never living close by once they graduated [and that’s not just in a sense of one of them being a flight attendant]. [name_u]Sully[/name_u] went back to [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] so he could continue living close to his family, who he’s always been very close with. He’s one of four adopted children - only having a mom actually, who lacked a term for her asexuality until recently, coming out at her 63rd birthday party, much to the absolute support of her kids - and also shares close bonds with his cousins, of which he has many thanks to his mom being one of 5 kids herself, one of her nephews being Sully’s best friend.

Working as a geologist, [name_u]Sully[/name_u] jokes a lot about how people tend to not be too excited about dating a guy whose job encompasses studying rocks [it’s not quite that simple, but he doesn’t want to get into specifics when he can see eyes glazing over already]. For someone who can be the life and soul of any party, [name_u]Sully[/name_u] finds dating quite intimidating. It’s the fear of rejection which really lies at the heart of his nerves where approaching others is concerned. His high school was just a hub for brutal rejections - many of which aired on the public side, the cafeteria being the main stage for these incidents - and on top of that, [name_u]Sully[/name_u] found his interest in environmental matters, pulp fiction novels and writing updates on local eco projects in the school paper led to people not quite knowing what to make of him, so he stuck to what suited him best and just refrained from putting himself out there much.

At university he dated a fellow environmental sciences major, but things broke down between the couple as he found his boyfriend was too eager to make a big commitment early in the relationship. They had several disagreements about [name_u]Sully[/name_u] not wanting to move into their own apartment, instead of remaining in the house share with several mutual friends, as he knew it was too soon and they hadn’t figured enough out about one another’s quirks, preferences and particularities to cohabit one-on-one, but his boyfriend saw this as a sign of commitment issues. Things ended when the six roommates were agreeing to split into two trios, and [name_u]Sully[/name_u] refused to agree when his boyfriend wanted them to downsize into pairs, as some people just weren’t financially secure enough to note have that pressure on them. He fretted a lot about being painted as the villain - as his ex was not only charming but very talented at retelling tales of fallouts - however people thankfully recognised what really went on, and [name_u]Sully[/name_u] wasn’t assigned an unfair label.

[name_m]Eddy[/name_m] was someone he confided in a lot during this time, and they’ve remained their supportive dynamic. She’s definitely someone he could trust with setting him up…but best to not give him any spoilers as he’s very prone to overthinking these things!

[name_u]Tahoma[/name_u] [name_f]Perette[/name_f] Crosshouse (27) is Sully’s adoptive sister and one of the adoptive siblings. She’s the only one actually born in [name_f]Canada[/name_f], being of Salishan descent. She often goes down to the state of [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] to see her family and is a proud dual citizen. [name_u]Tahoma[/name_u] even gives her adoptive mother the nickname “ [name_f]Peach[/name_f] “ after the [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] peaches. She was adopted at age 7 although she was once fostered at age 5 although her foster family didn’t choose to keep her. [name_u]Tahoma[/name_u] wonders if she did anything wrong to lose that and wonders how much different her life would have been. However she’s fully convinced her life is much better with [name_u]Sully[/name_u] and the other siblings she grew up with after all. [name_u]Tahoma[/name_u] has no hard feelings about the other foster family or their lifestyle but she feels rather stressed about the fact she’d be a PK (pastor’s kid) and that the family were supporters of PETA (People for the [name_f]Ethical[/name_f] Treatment of Animals). However, [name_u]Tahoma[/name_u] vehemently states she is not against religion or veganism but would not want to grow up under those forced stresses. [name_u]Tahoma[/name_u] is actually midway when it comes to those beliefs, being an agnostic vegetarian. One thing about [name_u]Tahoma[/name_u] is that she’s a single mother herself, having recently adopted.

She still currently lives in the province of [name_m]Ontario[/name_m], working in the same women’s charity as [name_u]Lux[/name_u] [name_u]Ashton[/name_u]. She finds [name_u]Lux[/name_u] a very intelligent and sane individual and they’ve discussed Colton’s changing status from only child to eldest child alongside [name_u]Sully[/name_u] and Eddy’s growing mutual attraction. [name_u]Lux[/name_u] is one of Tahoma’s two best friends, the other one being an older sister of [name_f]Annette[/name_f] Duplantier, and was born in [name_u]France[/name_u]. That best friend has also met [name_u]Matty[/name_u] and [name_m]Eddy[/name_m] during travels in which [name_u]Tahoma[/name_u] and [name_u]Lux[/name_u] had to talk her out of saying, “That’s the middle name of one of my brothers,” when [name_u]Matty[/name_u] said her middle name was [name_m]Florent[/name_m]. [name_u]Tahoma[/name_u] knew about [name_m]Eddy[/name_m] going to set [name_u]Matty[/name_u] and [name_u]Sully[/name_u] together, something a few other adoptive siblings know as well. [name_u]Tahoma[/name_u] has been there to support [name_u]Sully[/name_u] whenever they’re both around, especially given Sully’s past relationship with his former boyfriend. [name_u]Tahoma[/name_u] has gotten on good terms with [name_m]Eddy[/name_m] and finds [name_m]Eddy[/name_m] a much more eloquent person than her when it comes to comforting people, which is why she thinks [name_u]Sully[/name_u] deserves her. [name_u]Tahoma[/name_u] is on nice terms with [name_u]Matty[/name_u] too but she’s not as close with her and hardly knows her husband. So she’s accepted that if this is just a small wedding party, she probably isn’t on the guest list, much like [name_u]Lux[/name_u] and their other best friend, who might have a fun smaller activity of their own to bond with that day. Weddings aren’t really Tahoma‘s thing, especially given how much she enjoys single life, so this is no issue for her. [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] jokes around with her on this especially given he’s not on the list either and the two laugh about this but they’re still very happy for [name_u]Matty[/name_u] and her fiancé. She’s glad [name_u]Sully[/name_u] was on the guest list however and has further convinced [name_u]Matty[/name_u] how to get the setup just right for a nice bond on [name_m]Eddy[/name_m] and [name_u]Sully[/name_u]. [name_u]Sully[/name_u] isn’t aware of this plan and she isn’t telling him because that would be awkward, but she’s convinced the CoCos know what they’re doing.

[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] Crosshouse (nb) is the adoptive daughter of [name_u]Tahoma[/name_u]. [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] was born to a teenage mother named [name_f]Claire[/name_f], who was not ready to be a mom, but was ready to become the next winner of The Voice. It was an open adoption.

cw: dysfunctional childhood

Roseanna " Ritz " Anita Baulmer (40) is Claire’s manager and the person most openly critical of the open adoption. A shark in the world of entertainment management, Ritz has risen to the top not by having perfect values or an abundance of compassion, but a very cold approach to problem solving and image management. She’s clear with clients that if they mess up one time too many, she’ll have no problems dropping them, as personal drama goes beyond her pay grade [debatable given her salary, but you don’t argue with the Ritz Baulmer’s of the world]. Claire’s one of the closest things to an exception you’ll find. Her vocal ability is too strong for Ritz to overlook, and she has all the traits of a success story, things she’s been very upfront about. For all her harsh qualities [and lackluster displays of support when called upon], Ritz is nothing but honest with those she manages, which is how she’s consistently kept her career going.

Her biggest concern is how the adoption will be perceived by the media and if Claire will be able to handle what assumptions will be made. Contact between her and Elizabeth is another source of uncertainty for her agent, who’s been upfront about the fact Tahoma might make certain restrictive requests if her daughter begins experiencing confusion or some sort of disappointment. While she isn’t voicing frequent criticisms, Ritz has been watching things like a hawk, having a great eye for detail and seeing every potential problem coming. There have been disagreements between Ritz and Claire’s parents about her pessimistic inclinations, however they’ve kept her going throughout life and she’s firm in not rose-tinting anything she looks over.

Unbeknownst to Claire or any of her clients, Ritzs’ attitude is deeply personal. She grew up being forced through child beauty pageants by her parents, who were never pleased with how well she did unless it was the absolute best. There was a toxic combination for the young girl: her mom constantly criticised, her dad shrugged and offered no advice of assurance - which is why, for how stern she outwardly seems, she’s never cruel or dismissive towards her clients. Ritz is now estranged from them, and as their only child this is something they’ve made it clear they’re unhappy about. Contact between them and their grandchild - Ritz’s 8-year-old son, who she conceived through IVF - is also sparse and guided by caution, which has led to some rows, not that Ritz will ever back down where her child’s concerned. He’s the only person who consistently sees her gentle side, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Warning for aloof parents.

[name_u]Pasha[/name_u] [name_m]Taras[/name_m] [name_m]Moroz[/name_m] (26) is a fellow staff member who works for [name_f]Claire[/name_f] - he is her publicist. He is the one who keeps her in the public eye and focuses on arranging appearances for her. He does have access to her social media, but rarely posts on her behalf and prefers to help with her website. [name_u]Pasha[/name_u] is still below Ritz in terms of [name_f]Claire[/name_f] - he has to have Ritz’s approval before doing anything to publicise [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. Unlike Ritz, [name_u]Pasha[/name_u] isn’t as well-known in the Canadian entertainment industry. He’s younger than Ritz plus he wasn’t born in [name_f]Canada[/name_f] - he’s Russian and born in the Siberian region. He’s been rather known as a publicist there before moving. His parents are actors themselves but are only known in their native [name_f]Russia[/name_f] with some recognition in Belarus. [name_u]Truth[/name_u] is, [name_u]Pasha[/name_u] didn’t really get along with his parents. He was often raised by nannies due to their parents focusing on famous careers. When he told his parents that he was interested in being a publicist, they were very happy for him but [name_u]Pasha[/name_u] disliked that they were only interested in him because he was discussing fame. He feels he can’t hate them since they did expedite his career but he is uncomfortable with their personalities and took the risk to emigrate.

[name_u]Pasha[/name_u] lives in the [name_m]Ontario[/name_m] region, wants to stay, and is currently engaged to [name_m]Eddy[/name_m] Constable. The two live together. They’re both keeping their surnames when they marry and nickname themselves the " MoCos ". They want children in the future and [name_u]Pasha[/name_u] promises to be close with his children unconditionally no matter what they want, fame or not. He supports how Ritz raises her son. [name_u]Pasha[/name_u] supports [name_u]Matty[/name_u] and [name_u]Sully[/name_u] getting together at his future wedding to [name_m]Eddy[/name_m]. [name_u]Pasha[/name_u] has even thought about incorporating his Siberian husky [name_m]Denka[/name_m] into the wedding party.

[name_u]Pasha[/name_u] is higher-strung given his excitement of wedding planning but he’s made sure to take his career aspect very seriously. He has learned a lot from Ritz about Claire’s career on The Voice and what will follow. [name_u]Pasha[/name_u] couldn’t imagine having a child as a teen parent and admits he likely would have put a child for open adoption as well. He feels Tahoma’s a good parent to [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], which is a suitable name given Tahoma’s time in [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], but [name_u]Pasha[/name_u] doesn’t know [name_u]Tahoma[/name_u] well. After all if he did, [name_u]Tahoma[/name_u] would be on the wedding guest list! He doesn’t think [name_u]Tahoma[/name_u] would be interested in the glitz of fame and believes she and her friend [name_u]Lux[/name_u] would rather just be known for their activism. So he and Ritz have tried to respect [name_u]Tahoma[/name_u] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] by keeping them as far away from the press as possible. [name_u]Pasha[/name_u] is inspired by Ritz doing the same thing by keeping her son out of the business. [name_u]Pasha[/name_u] has a career in keeping people public, but he’s not super public about himself and doesn’t like to pry into people he doesn’t know. He’s never judged Ritz, not just because he’s practically “below” her but also because he feels there’s more that meets the eye, especially given his own toxic parents.

[name_f]Shavonne[/name_f] [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] McMahon (22) , going by the stage name of Shamona is [name_f]Claire[/name_f] '[s biggest rival in music. She can both sing and rap which earned her a recognition on The Voice. She can be pretty harsh on interviews about her rivals but even she admits that [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is an incredible young talent when it comes to singing soulful ballads. She can recognise it because both she and her sister have started singing because of being in the church choir and being inspired by soul singers like [name_f]Aretha[/name_f] [name_u]Franklin[/name_u] , [name_f]Diana[/name_f] [name_m]Ross[/name_m] and [name_u]Whitney[/name_u] [name_u]Houston[/name_u]. She thinks as well-deserved as her win was, a lot of the win was earned because of her sob story with the open adoption , although she does respect [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and her team for keeping [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] and [name_u]Tahoma[/name_u] away from the spotlight and not turning the whole ordeal in some social media family vlogging charade.

It doesn’t help that her current manager wanted to manage [name_f]Claire[/name_f] first but Ritz had an offer that was more to the liking of Claire’s parents as it focused on [name_f]Claire[/name_f] 's individual career and not on collaborations with other artists. [name_f]Shavonne[/name_f] has collaborated with several rappers and singers from her agency. She feels like she has a lot to prove to her manager who would like her to stay solely in the soul genre while not being convinced if her brutally honest rapper persona does match her more soulful, classy side. One of the rappers she collaborated with noticed that [name_f]Shavonne[/name_f] 's manager treats her worse than the male rappers and stood up for her, for which she thanked him and has remained attracted to him ever since. He asked her out shortly after a recording session but [name_f]Shavonne[/name_f] doesn’t want her manageor the tabloids to find out because she isn’t sure if it has a chance of working out long term. Her sister supports her decision to pursue the dating on her own terms - even though she herself has stopped singning and now works in retail as a customer service manager, she tries to support [name_f]Shavonne[/name_f] while warning her about the dangers of show business.
