His eyes are a light shade of seafoam, that is sometimes green and sometimes blue depending on the weather, the lighting, what he wears and his mood. He’s always the parent you can turn to if facing or anticipating a crisis, being a pillar of strength for his husband and children, something he takes pride in. Jorge can be prone to hiding his own fears and concerns because of this though, not wanting to worry those he cares about, which is something Dominic’s helped him move away from throughout their relationship, and Jorge always works to ensure their children feel able to be open.
description: Jorge’s an inch smaller than Dominic at 5’2" and a pretty slender guy, although he has broad shoulders and a triangular build, something echoed in his features: having a slightly pointed nose, sharp tipped chin and high cheekbones. He cuts his black hair short and it curls across his forehead, with his sister having taught him how to gel the curls to look nice. His eyes are a deep shade of brown, a little lighter than Dominic’s hair, and compliment the light olive glow of his skin. personality: Meredith is a kind and gentle yet headstrong woman, and is the mother of Winona- Winona’s her youngest child. She’s very graceful as well, which she attributes to her profession as an ice skating coach at the rink downtown. She’s been skating since she was two and is extremely good at it, her childhood dream being to play in the Winter Olympics and represent Canada. Unfortunately she did not achieve this dream, but she has become a very good ice skater and LOVES her job. She’s a very caring mother and while she will miss Winona if she ends up going to art school in Maple Tree, North Carolina, she will always support her and visit her once every month. Her and her husband are both “madly in love”, which their older children gently teasing them about this. About a year ago, Meredith made a shocking revelation- she’s attracted to both women and men. He just gives off dad vibes, right down to his paper-like jokes, which are tear-able. [name_u]Miles[/name_u] is an introvert, a computer whiz, and Meredith’s opposite in many ways–the clumsiness to her grace, the dad jokes to her dry humor, and the background to her wild rides, occasionally chiming in with a “Mare, that might not be such a good–never mind.” He likes to say he works in computers, but moonlights as a computer worker, which is more accurate than he’d like it to be, since he tends to be slightly sleep-deprived most of the time. He loves his wife and kids so, so much, to the point where he’s probably a little embarrassing, but hey, what are dads for?
Appearance: [name_u]Miles[/name_u] is very short, slightly overweight, and has somewhat bad posture due to spending much of his life hunched over various computer screens. [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] keeps trying to get him to exercise more, but he rarely complies. There is also no such person as [name_u]Austen[/name_u] [name_m]Santiago[/name_m] Pidgeon, Uncle Aaron’s entirely fabricated son. Apologies all around for this useless and confusing piece of non-information.)

personality: Lucy is the quippy, witty grandmother of the Pidgeon family, who lives with them on account of not being able to care for herself to the fullest anymore, and not wanting to be sent to a nursing home as “such a threat to her freedom would kill her spirit.” Lucy can be a bit unorthodox at times, but her chaos comes with its perks- in her youth she used to be an infamous sleuth. Lucy has always been a very astute, inquisitive person and quickly rose from amateur sleuth to legitimate detective- being a woman of color in the 1960s came with its setbacks, but Lucy didn’t care about what anybody else said about her- instead she continued solving cases with ease and even outsmarting experienced criminals. She traveled from Quebec to Vancouver to Toronto and even to the US on some occasions, and once even to Europe. Many experienced detectives disagreed with her rather chaotic method of solving cases but she didn’t care and completely disregarded their complaints. Unfortunately, Lucy had to retire from her detective career because of a back injury and just aging in general. She met her husband through her job- both were clever young detectives tasked with the case of finding a missing diamond from a museum. Eventually they both found it with the security guard, and befriended each other soon after. They married in 1969 and had three daughters soon after, including her youngest daughter Meredith who she now resides with. She’s always got a story to tell to her grandchildren, who she absolutely adores- especially the oldest, who she’s very close with and is her favorite grandkid out of all the grandchildren- including grandkids from her other daughters. When her daughter came out, she was immensely supportive and proud of her for making that decision. She wishes her husband had never died- he was the only man she ever truly loved and while she’s heartbroken, she is glad she got to spend time with him and knows she’ll see him in heaven.
Appearance: Like her daughter, Lucy is tall (though shorter than her) at 5’8”, and not as muscular as her but still slightly muscular in her legs. She’s in remarkably good health for her age, though the key markers of old age are beginning to show up on her face- her once black hair is now gray, and her skin is creased with slight wrinkles. However, shes still sharp as a tack and often states that “youth is a state of mind.” Her skin is chestnut brown with warm undertones, and she has soft, coily dark gray hair that has some silver streaks. Her eyes are wide and dark brown, and she likes to wear t-shirts and comfortable clothing- Lucy has always been a tomboy with an appreciation for softer outfits. However, she does have a jewelry box- she got it for her husband as a clumsy yet sweet Valentine’s Day present (an attempt to flirt with her) and she’s kept it forever, but is planning to give it to Meredith and Miles’ oldest child when she passes away. However, that doesn’t look like it’ll happen too soon, because Lucy’s in great health for her age. Lucy gets on well with Miles, and enjoys his “dad jokes”- she’s glad her daughter married a good person and that the pair has such a wonderful life and family.

personality: Odessa, who is affectionately called Essie by most of her family, is the first child of Meredith and Miles. Essie is very quippy and witty just like her grandmother but also soft and gentle like her mother. She enjoys ice skating which is an activity that her and her mother bond over but she only does it for fun and not for sport. She prefers dancing, which has been her passion since she was three years old. Essie’s favorite genre is ballet, closely followed by tap dance. Essie is bisexual, first finding that out at age 15 when she began crushing on a girl. She is now happily dating her partner, who she met at a dance recital. Essie is an extrovert to the extreme. She loves being social and she loves going out and having a good time! She has main character energy, especially as her birthday is on Christmas Eve, she’s always felt special. Her favorite thing to do is perform. She works as a dance teacher at the dance school she used to attend during her childhood, and is planning to start her own dance school for young girls and boys. For all their differences, she and her dad are very close on account of their mutual ability and love of technology, with Seren’s flat affect and deadpan sense of humour contrasting in a somewhat surreal manner to all the goofy dad jokes, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. She’s known for being quite blunt - although she does provide a warning when asked for advice or feedback - and is hyper critical of herself most of all, being a perfectionist where her programming and graphic work is concerned; currently being on placement within the gaming industry as a modeller. Seren’s very organised and methodical when it comes to getting things done, although it isn’t tied to her OCD - something she dispells when asked about; having been diagnosed when she was 18 after confiding in her grandma about wanting to enquire about the disorder given how it was extra pronounced thanks to her being nervous about rejection from college. The two were crushed when Essie and Seren moved out of the house, but were always happy about having each other. Tatum tends to fade into the background compared to his headstrong, wayward sister Valerie, who is often the main decision maker who will get the pair into trouble. They’re both pretty athletic, with Valerie and Tatum both being involved in hockey and Tatum being involved in football- Valerie also climbs on occasion as a hobby, though not nearly as much as she used to. Tate is romantically involved with someone- a boy on his football team who’s the captain. But Val isn’t so sure- actually, she thinks she might be ace and aromantic, but she’s not sure. The main difference between Tatum and Valerie- besides their genders and varying personalities, of course- is what they want to do in life. Val’s sure she wants to be a forensic scientist (and solve mysteries, just like her grandmother), while Tatum’s not so sure. Valerie is headstrong and determined about her career path- in fact, she’s known since she was nine. But Tatum can’t stop stressing about his future career, and is always anxious about what’s to come next. But Valerie is trying to help him through his confusion, as is the rest of their family. Tatum and Valerie love hanging out with their siblings- Valerie is especially fond of Winona, the youngest, who she considers to be her “best friend.”
Appearances: Tatum stands at below average height at 5’5”, almost 5’6”, and is very thin and lean from eating so little and playing football- he’s a running back and is very petite for a boy. However Valerie is 5’7, and she always brags to Tatum about being soooo much taller than him, even though it’s only an inch or two. Valerie has the same wide-hipped figure as her mom and sister, but apart from body composition the twins generally look the same- they both have the same tan skin color, the same pale green eyes and the same straight black hair. Tatum’s is styled in a fashion that it hangs in his eyes a little bit, and is grown so long that it would be considered shaggy by most. Valerie’s is straight, back-length and swishes around when she walks, and she’ll often flip her hair once she’s proven a point. They both have a bit more of a round face, but they still definitely have full cheekbones and lips from their mother. Tatum has a light sprinkling of golden-brown freckles on his nose and cheeks that are most noticeable when in direct sunlight, while Valerie doesn’t have any freckles- well, except for the freckle on her collarbone, but she insists that’s a birthmark, not a freckle. Valerie and Tatum like wearing clothes that are comfortable and allow for maximum movement, as both are athletic. Valerie and Tatum have friendship bracelets that they made in kindergarten, thick and bright neon green with a pink stripe down the middle, that they always wear.

He’s pale-skinned and lightly freckled, with a soft and feminine-looking face which has been creased by wrinkles and laugh lines. Personality: Ada is a friendly, outgoing person who’s charismatic but often talks herself into things she can’t get out of- she’s much different from her more reserved sister Eve, who’s often distant and cold towards her family (of course, not intentionally- she just gets too caught up in her work and it takes a toll on her mental health and relationships). Despite this chaos created by Eves work environment, she’s got a great relationship with her little sister Ada and the pair, despite living a considerable distance away from each other, still love and enjoy doing work calls and Eve’s kids enjoy talking to their cousins. Along with 2 of her own biological kids, Ada is fostering a set of 4 siblings and though she hasn’t told them, she plans to adopt them. She lives in Clementine, California (made-up place as far as I know) which is a wealthy town in Western California (sort of near Nevada), and conceived her two bio-kids through a donor- she’s happy raising them as a single parent and wouldn’t have it any other way. Her foster kids can’t go back to their parents as they are unable to care for her permanently, but she’s planning on raising them as she loves them like they’re her own. Her foster kids are all well into their teenage years, while her bilogical kids are 12 and 7.
Physical: Like her sister Eve, Ada is 5’6” and has a curvy figure- her face is round and soft like her body features, and her eyes are a dark shade of brown that’s almost black. Her medium-brown hair which is on the darker side of medium is cut to neck-length and cropped close to her head, and curls out slightly at the ends- she’s also got a small fringe, and a few honey strands of hair that are natural highlights. Ada likes dressing comfortably but occasionally enjoys dresses. She’s a successful businesswoman who doesn’t mind wearing a suit every once in a while for her job, either- it’s a flexible schedule, and Ada will often stay up until the wee hours of the night pitching her sales projects, but she makes an effort to get a good sleep schedule and balance out spending time with her kids.
