Having studied kinesiology at university, Paolo’s decision to become a teacher surprised him most of all, with it very much being a sudden decision he made after earning his degree. Part of the reasoning was [name\_m]Paolo[/name\_m] disliked his placement course while studying and opting for something different seemed a good decision to prevent burnout or feeling jaded with his studying choice. Although he’s an inherent optimist who tries to motivate others in positive thinking, he’s not without caution, and recognises his own worsening moods with ease; partly something learned from his own childhood, being aware of his fathers’ battles with depression. Paolo’s Filipino-British, having moved to [name\_u]Ireland[/name\_u] to be nearer his fiancé’s family. They’re still engaged after she proposed to him shortly after their university graduation, having wanted to take a further step as they began living together. While this would shock some, the fact they got together in their first year means the couple are _very_ well-adjusted to one another, having been housemates in their second year before living apart again when Paolo’s then girlfriend was invited to a houseshare necessary to prevent a fallout in her friend group [long story, which he doesn’t know every detail of]. Their current home is shared with [name\_m]Archie[/name\_m] the golden retriever: a gift from Paolo’s sister for his graduation, and absolutely the apple of everyone’s eye.
