Create a Family with a Twist 4

Warning for deceased character and ALS.

[name_f]Cambie[/name_f] [name_f]Zosime[/name_f] [name_m]Salton[/name_m] (7 [name_f]October[/name_f] 1998 – 18 [name_m]March[/name_m] 2021, aged 22) was Henrik’s good friend, though the two were always strictly friends. [name_f]Cambie[/name_f] wouldn’t actually be with the guy she’d date until a few weeks before her passing, and even then, she and that man never stated whether they were boyfriend or girlfriend yet. Though a connection was there. It wasn’t that [name_f]Cambie[/name_f] knew she’d pass away, though she had a sense of living life to the fullest. Which is why she was feeling good when [name_m]Henrik[/name_m] started dating [name_f]Chelsea[/name_f], a nursing home employee, because there’s a lot of life to think about there. Her father predeceased her after struggling ALS, really opening the [name_m]Salton[/name_m] family’s eyes on making moments count. [name_f]Cambie[/name_f] hated to think about what the disease did to him, thinking solely about how he lived and how he was such a great father to them. [name_f]Cambie[/name_f] would naturally have been disappointed had people straight up treated her like “the dead girl”. Which was something people felt after her passing in an ATV accident, though they’ve let her spirit live on, and remember much more than just that. [name_f]Cambie[/name_f] knew she’s not perfect and she wouldn’t have wanted to be remembered as something she wasn’t.

[name_f]Cambie[/name_f] mainly stayed at home for her father in early adulthood, who passed away a year and a half before she did. At that time, she had a part-time job delivering mail for the postal service. [name_f]Cambie[/name_f] often worried that she wasn’t “living life to the fullest” though she tried not to be bothered. She knew some people were in prestigious colleges and/or were prodigies at her age or younger. And you know what? Good for them! [name_f]Cambie[/name_f] didn’t believe in tearing others down and she didn’t feel she needed to compare herself to them – she had her own life path. She was close to her father and his dreams before his passing and both were great at sailing and windsurfing. [name_f]Cambie[/name_f] was a genuinely kind person and was happy [name_m]Henrik[/name_m] found [name_f]Chelsea[/name_f]. Admittedly she used to like [name_m]Henrik[/name_m] but she got over this and she enjoyed how he was with his girlfriend. While Cambie’s date was extremely talented and got along socially from impressing people, [name_f]Cambie[/name_f] got along by being interested and respectful of what others said and did, which complemented each other. Still, it wasn’t all a “her give, him take” ordeal, seeing she’s had some time to impress with her talents in mural painting. She was only able to paint a few in her lifetime, but the murals are still there for enjoyment.
