[name_u]Florence[/name_u] " [name_u]Ren[/name_u] " [name_u]Santana[/name_u] Cerezo-Vanson (14) is a fellow member of the school basketball team, who’s considered a star player on account of her dedication. [name_u]Ren[/name_u] tends to keep to herself for the most part when she isn’t practicing and is truly only close with one of the other girls belonging to the team, although she’s always polite when it comes to interacting with others and tries her best to not be too curt. Several people chalk this up to what is known about Ren’s personal life: namely having been raised in the foster system before being adopted when she was six by her wonderful parents. Unfortunately, being a known former foster kid wasn’t easy for [name_u]Ren[/name_u], who faced a lot of intrusive questions throughout her early years of attending school, and opinions being made regarding her background. Truthfully, she has no idea how or why she ended up in the system - apart from the fact her becoming a ward of the province wasn’t a decision made by her biological parents, but she’s been deemed too young to know exact details as of now. Sometimes, [name_u]Ren[/name_u] can’t help but think she’d never like to find out why she was taken into care, as what details her parents have shared with her indicate some likely upsetting information.
Like [name_u]Kit[/name_u], [name_u]Ren[/name_u] is an only child, with the decision stemming from her mother’s not wanting to force her to adjust to a sibling given the disruption she experienced, and once she’d settled into their home, they didn’t find themselves interested in having any more kids. She doesn’t mind this actually as someone who prefers her home life to be peaceful and quiet, unless she’s listening to symphonic metal music in her room, which is entirely welcomed. [name_u]Ren[/name_u] belongs to the same art class as [name_u]Alex[/name_u] and they’ve become friendlier recently thanks to having an interest in similar styles and concepts, although Ren’s true passion for her future is a career in sports, with the arts being a backup if she’s unable to pursue basketball full-time. Some classmates consider her the luckiest person imaginable as her mom runs a dog grooming business, meaning Ren’s constantly surrounded by furballs, but she’s actually a cat person and way more devoted to the family’s two felines: [name_u]Domino[/name_u] the [name_u]Maine[/name_u] Coon and [name_f]Clea[/name_f] the Siamese - both of whom were adopted as abandoned kittens, something [name_u]Ren[/name_u] privately admits gives her a kinship with her pets.

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] “Lizzie” [name_f]Hester[/name_f] Cerezo-Vanson (47) is Ren’s mother. She and her husband adopted [name_u]Ren[/name_u] after struggling with infertility for several years – and [name_u]Ren[/name_u] is the absolute best child they could have ever asked for. [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f] enjoys going to Ren’s basketball games and is supportive of her dreams 100%!
[name_f]Lizzie[/name_f] loves owning a dog-grooming business along with one of her closest friends: she wasn’t allowed to have any pets when she was a kid (due to her brother’s allergies) and so now she loves being around puppies all day and having two great cats to come home to. In her spare time, she is also learning to play the guitar. She’s always wanted to learn, and she wants to show [name_u]Ren[/name_u] that you’re never too old to learn something new.

Marissa " Missy " Saffron Corben (48) is Lizzie’s close friend and fellow co-owner of their dog-grooming business. She has 5 children, her oldest being a foster daughter, followed by her two biological daughters Nia (23) and Zoey (19), followed by her two adoptive sons Dante (18, the older one and in college) and Matt (18, the younger one and in high school). She loves the joy of adoption too but secretly hopes Dante can meet and connect with his biological younger sister, just learning her name is Shannon Leabody and her father is the VP of a biker gang. Missy would also like to help Ren understand details of her former life but won’t push it and never brings it up to her without asking Lizzie first. However her friendship with Lizzie and Lizzie’s positive gratitude always makes things better! She is also interested in guitar and mostly knows music from Zoey and Dante’s heavy metal and Nia’s upbeat tunes but Missy is more of a soft rock fan. While Missy’s children are all older than Ren, Zoey and Dante bond with her the best over music. Missy’s husband and Lizzie’s husband are great friends as well and work in different businesses, but on the same street.

Elair Beatrix O’Shea (18) is Missy and Lizzie’s junior assistant at their dog-grooming business, whose presence allowed the women to successfully add a new facet to their services: socialisation and walking. Elair takes the dogs waiting for strolls around the garden - which is not-so secretly appreciated by Ren, who doesn’t want the Cerezo-Vanson’s cats being bothered - and acts as an unofficial receptionist for the business given how her employers have a lot of family responsibilities, which she’s relatively free of on account of her age. Her hiring is in-part due to Elair’s older sister being best friends with Missy’s eldest daughter, which has bought her into contact with the Corben family on multiple occasions, usually birthdays which she’s been invited to attend alongside her older sibling.
In spite of having contemplated studying English Literature at university - thanks to her passion for creative writing, especially poetry - Elair’s experiences with anxiety caused her to decide against rushing into this and she’s unsure if this path will ever be one she takes; something her family are very understanding of. The cliches about the middle child being overlooked thankfully don’t apply to Elair, in spite of her younger brother being well-chaired bound and requiring a lot of support; prompting the eldest O’Shea sibling to attend university only a half hour drive away, in case their parents need some extra help regarding his needs. Elair always makes it clear to not patronise or pity her brother though, who’s a very strong-willed person and goes swimming whenever he can, belonging to a disabled team thanks to his talents.
Something that not even her family knows - but her sister suspects, unsurprising given she’s a psychology student - is that Elair has long harboured feelings for Dante, Missy’s older son. Elair was another member of the Textiles Club, and upcycles denim clothing on a regular basis which she sells on Depop: co-owning this side hustle with one of her best friends who’s studying fashion communication at university right now. She isn’t a heavy metal fan but does enjoy symphonic (something that surprised even her friends when she revealed this) and has talked to him a few times about it, but is way too aware of the potential rejection (and terrible awkwardness for her sister) that could ensue if she tells him how she feels, even though one of her closest friends thinks this crush isn’t unfounded by any means…

Malar " [name_f]Lara[/name_f] " [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] [name_u]Corben[/name_u] (25) is the close friend of Elair’s older sister and eldest [name_u]Corben[/name_u] sibling, who jokes she started as a foster placement but ended up sticking around. [name_f]Lara[/name_f] was born to a Burmese couple who were unable to financially provide for their unplanned daughter - having recently emigrated and they lacked any means to raise a child in a new country. She would be placed into the state care at three days old and [name_f]Lara[/name_f] admits she’s happier having no memories of her biological family, as it would have made her upbringing much harder. After a few short-term foster placements which went well but were unable to provide for her long-term, [name_f]Lara[/name_f] was placed with the Corben’s shortly after turning six. When [name_f]Missy[/name_f] became pregnant two years later, Lara’s social worker assumed she and her husband would want to stop the fostering process, so it was a pleasant surprise to him when they instead were firm that [name_f]Lara[/name_f] would remain in their home and be treated as the big sister of their first biological child - although [name_f]Lara[/name_f] was required to attend specific therapy to prepare her for this change in the environment.
Thankfully, [name_f]Lara[/name_f] and [name_f]Nia[/name_f] took to each other wonderfully, having a very tight bond that was intensified by the older girl’s love of writing - composing lots of stories for her little sister, and then her other younger siblings as time went by. Having an easy-going and pragmatic approach to pretty much everything, Lara’s parents enjoy joking she’s a natural eldest sibling in how she approaches things: having a lot of patience with her siblings and often serving as the referee if an argument broke out when their parents weren’t home. When she was sixteen, [name_f]Missy[/name_f] and her husband decided to ask [name_f]Lara[/name_f] to choose her own middle name to signify her permanence in the family, with this being when she took on the [name_u]Corben[/name_u] surname - changing it from [name_u]Howard[/name_u], her assigned one from social services. Having studied creative writing at university, [name_f]Lara[/name_f] currently works in advertising and marketing, specifically the written side of things. She lives twenty minutes away from her parents house right now, cycling round when she has free time or her roommates are busy - usually accompanied by her Yorkshire Terrier: a tiny rescue who anders to the name of Marzipan and is absolutely doted upon by [name_f]Lara[/name_f] and her housemates.

[name_f]Gretel[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] Jacobs (22) is the youngest of Lara’s 4 roommates. [name_f]Gretel[/name_f] just graduated from college with a fine arts degree and is trying to start a graphic design business as a side hustle along with having being interviewed for a job as a middle school art teacher as a part time job while she figures things out. [name_f]Gretel[/name_f] is one of 5 and 2 of them are older, and she is the first sibling to have chosen an art related career, which puts some pressure on her.

He is also a school teacher, teaching music at the school [name_f]Gretel[/name_f] got interviewed for. He is a supporter of art as well and believes [name_f]Gretel[/name_f] would be a great school teacher in art and wants her to get hired but knows he doesn’t have the final say. However he has recommended her to the school and a few others, in case she doesn’t get picked for the same middle school he teaches at. [name_u]Timothy[/name_u] is close with all his children’s friends and enjoys seeing them around. One of Gretel’s siblings is in his music class.

Sarah Capri “Sadie” Garza, née Corben (43) is the younger sister of Timothy. She lives fairly close to the Corbens, so their familes see each other often. She works as a principal at a local high school, and the students who go to the school love Sadie, for her fun and laid back nature.
Outside of her work, she has an appreciation for sculpture art, and likes to make pottery.
Sadie has a husband and son.

[name_u]Baylor[/name_u] “ Barry” [name_m]Travis[/name_m] Garza (43) is Sarah’s husband and father to their son. He runs a small shop of novelty items made from recycled materials. His niece and nephew [name_f]Nia[/name_f] and [name_m]Matt[/name_m] are very into ocean rescue, so they visit the shop a lot and everyone in the family likes it. Sometimes he donates recycled paper and recycled plastic school supplies to Sarah’s school for students who need it. He hates seeing people treat the [name_f]Earth[/name_f] badly and does lots of eco-friendly alternatives to help. He loves his wife’s pottery and enjoys clay, as it is a natural way to make products and is into ceramics. He is anti-plastic unless the plastic is recycled and encourages those using plastic to at least recycle it.

Rocco Benjamin Garza (15) is the son of Sadie and Barry Garza. He attends the school that his mother works for, and sometimes feels embarrassed that his mom works there, but he doesn’t mind it too much, as he has a close relationship with both of his parents.
Rocco is quite popular at school, and he has a lot of friends. However, he’s also one of the sweetest people, and he always makes sure to be kind to everyone around him, as his parents raised him to do so.
After school, Rocco loves to go skateboarding or help his dad in doing environmental projects, such as their most recent project, starting a town garden, where people can grow their own fruit and vegetables, rather than buying them from the grocery store.

Felicity Anne Liss Rothsway (34) is another teacher at Rocco’s high school. She is the special-ed teacher & is also qualified to be the AIG teacher. She teaches the BD/ED class at the high school. She loves working for Sadie & considers Sadie the best principal she’s ever had to work with because she listens to her on matters of the kids in the BD/ED classes instead of considering them dumb or lazy when really they do as best they can with what they have. As for her personal life, her brother had a form of ASD (I hope I’m using the right term) which inspired her job, her sister had synesthesia, her mother had a different type of synesthesia, & her father had severe ADD (passed down to her). She married her high school sweetheart who wouldn’t have kids (due to Huntington’s being prevalent in his family) at twenty-two & then they met their other partner, a non-binary person, shorty after & married them at twenty-five. They now have six lovely daughters (with a seventh on the way Shhhh), two dogs (Romeo & Julian Jules), five cats (Missy, Tenille Tenny, Amy, Lucinda Lucy, & Dean), a big eight bed / three & a half bath house w/ a two-car garage, & are perfectly happy.

@RileyAddison13 Why thank you! Whenever I feel like making a character on a day I celebrate (regardless of whether it’s a holiday), I do while also keeping in tune with the game. Barry is actually only my second character, and my first was on another game and made for April Fool’s Day. May make one based on my birthday on 25 April but IDK yet.
Paulina Marlie Rothsway (1) is currently the youngest daughter but is about to be taken over by a surprise seventh newcomer on the way…and she doesn’t know it yet! She loves being in photos and is proud of being able to stand. She does have a developmental delay and has not quite gotten used to walking yet but her family motivates her. She loves the pets and is especially close with her cat Missy. She has a ravenous appetite for mashed bananas.

[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] " LJ " [name_u]Jude[/name_u] Rothsway (6) is the second eldest daughter and the one most likely to be found reading to [name_f]Paulina[/name_f] if her parents are busy, or if she just feels like it. She’s affectionately called ‘the enigma’ by her parents as it’s hard to guess what’s going through her mind at any time, given how one minute she’ll be insisting she needs a nap, then the next she’ll be scaling the tree house in their back garden but only when it’s empty so she can draw in peace. LJ’s parents assumed she’d become known as [name_f]Lily[/name_f] once she was a little older but the little girl decided she liked both of her names too much to leave out [name_u]Jude[/name_u], hence her nickname was born, and she’s very pleased with her decision now she’s at school with another [name_f]Lily[/name_f] in her class - as it helps people distinguish them verbally - and the two girls are actually on the fast track to becoming best friends.
In spite of usually liking some quiet - so she can concentrate on her projects: be it writing a song or designing her new superhero costume - LJ is very close with her older sister, who’s eight, and often goes to her with questions about school, considering her to be ridiculously cool. She loathes bananas unlike [name_f]Paulina[/name_f], instead preferring grapes and apples for a snack, and her non-binary parent (Noni as LJ affectionately calls them) loves to joke she’ll soon have an aversion to yellow foods entirely based on how LJ reacts when she sees banana’s being mashed. Like [name_f]Paulina[/name_f], LJ is fond of the cats but [name_m]Tenny[/name_m] is her favourite and usually lounges on the bed while she’s listening to one of her audiobooks: having been given them by her mom, as it seemed a good way of helping LJ enjoy reading without sequestering herself away somewhere so she can fully immerse in the story.

[name_f]Dawn[/name_f] [name_f]Brinkley[/name_f] Rothsway (4) is a younger sister of LJ and the fourth oldest. She is not yet in school and considers both LJ and the oldest girl to be super cool and hopes to be like them in school. She knows many of the adults perceive them all to be little but with them in school, she feels her sisters are the “big kids”. [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] is very ready to go to school, being too innocent to realise how hard school is. She just celebrated her 4th birthday and loves cake and ice cream with lots of strawberries — strawberries being her fruit of choice. She loves parties and is close with [name_u]Dean[/name_u], the cat she’s with, since he was adopted around the same time but in different years.

[name_u]Haven[/name_u] [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] Rothsway (8) is the elder sister of her 5 sisters, including LJ, [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] and [name_f]Paulina[/name_f]. [name_u]Haven[/name_u] looks a lot like [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] and despite the hight difference are often mistaken as twins, which [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] loves because [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] looks up to her a lot. Being the eldest, she considers herself the most mature and loves to boss LJ around, much to her annoyance, but the two girls are still very close seeing as they are both the eldest. Growing up as a family with mostly girls, [name_u]Haven[/name_u] likes to hang around with boys at school, with only one acceptance, her absolute best friend [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] (Joey). She is not a typical ‘tomboy’ but the boys all do admire her (and crush on her) when she ties her hair up and sprints into the football pitch.

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is super artistic, whether that be in the form of music, sewing, drawing, or dancing, she loves it all. She loves all of the pets in her family, but she tends to get along better with the dogs, because she can play more actively with them. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] especially enjoys going on runs with the dogs and one of her parents.
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is in Kindergarten, and is a social butterfly, who considers everybody in her class her best friend!

[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_u]Aspen[/name_u] Rothsway (3) is the current second youngest daughter, having lost her spot when [name_f]Paulina[/name_f] was born. Unlike her sisters, [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] hasn’t figured out if she has a favourite pet yet and instead is just happy spending time with all of them, being a very affectionate and friendly little girl. She loves playdough and clay modelling, being fascinated by building her own creations; and her parents have now introduced her to Lego, which she’s immediately been delighted by.
Like LJ, [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] resembles their non-binary parent more and this gives the two a special bond in spite of the age gap, with the toddler having actually overruled [name_u]Haven[/name_u] when she wanted to spend time with her sister when she was hanging out with the eldest. This boldness means [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] has to be kept a close eye on, as when she wants to explore the garden almost nothing can keep her away from scaling a tree (or trying to).

Addison Jerri Rothsway [né White] (34) is the non-binary parent of the family. They are naturally brunette and proud, but likes having a blonde streak just to match the other blonde children as well. Every sibling of Addison’s has fully or partially dyed hair in some way like their older sister Victoria Sommers who has fully turquoise dyed hair, whom they are the closest with and they love it when their kids visit hers. Addison currently works at a nail salon and enjoys socialising and giving manis and pedis. Addison loves Lego as well and has been to both the California and Florida Legoland theme parks along with the original Legoland theme park in Billund, Denmark. However they know Sylvie has never gone before and is planning her a surprise trip there if she continues to do good in preschool. Addison is like Sylvie in liking all the pets equally and having all the pets was their idea because they adore pets.

Penelope ‘Penny’ Imogene Coldwell (41) is the eldest sibling and she is usually quite sensible, being mother of a toddler, 2 children in elementary school, a middle schooler and two high schoolers. Out of her and her husband, who is stepdad to her two eldest kids but full dad to her 4 other children, she is usually the one who lets down her children when they can’t go to the playground or aren’t allowed to have ice cream before dinner, inheriting qualities from being the eldest kids. But aside from this, she is also the parent who is quite lenient about piercings, makeup and hair dye, which led to her eldest kid having a nose piercing and her hair colour frequently changing and going to school with a dramatic fox liner. Penny is okay about this, as long as it’s not her toddler getting an eyebrow piercing
Penny usually draws a line at clothing, not keen on revealing tops and short skirts but she does give her kids space, not constantly at their necks about what their wearing to go out.
Penny is a social person, but having 6 kids, much like her sibling Addison, she usually doesn’t get to many parties but does like to go to things via her kids by disguising a wine tasting session with one of the school mums as a playdate for her kid. Actually, she met her husband at school, a parent evening they bumped into each other and a lot of years later they have 4 kids and 2 step kids together. Penny loves her family and is in too family time but is not overly invasive about it
