TW: abuse

Sana Mahamadova (47) is Ülviyyə’s good acquaintance. Being of the same origin and living in the same foreign country, the women became closer, although there are more different things between them than they have in common.

Like Ülviyyə, Sana has two children, but she is a single mother. Her previous partner was an abuser and deadbeat dad, who repeatedly raised his hand against her and the children, including Sana’s daughter from her first relationship. Leaving her abusive husband was not easy for Sana, because it was marriage with this man that allowed her and her daughter to leave for this country at one time.

Sana now works as a head waitress at a restaurant next to the building where she and her children rent apartments. Sana has a trusting relationship with her eldest daughter and youngest child. She knows that Ülviyyə, who sometimes brings them treats, secretly disapproves of such parenting methods. She and Zeyd don’t approve of her divorce either, but Sana knows how to ignore inappropriate remarks.

When Sana found out about Yana’s pregnancy, she was happy, but at the same time she was worried inside. She knows Yunis well and thinks he can make a descent father, but she knows how cruel life can sometimes turn.

Warning for aforementioned abuse.

[name_m]Cavidan[/name_m] Mahamadov (20) is the younger child of [name_f]Sana[/name_f], AMAB but came out as non-binary. [name_f]Sana[/name_f] and her daughter, their older sister, has always been supportive of them. Admittedly [name_m]Cavidan[/name_m] stayed in the closet much longer than they’d want, but [name_f]Sana[/name_f] knows when they’re hiding something. [name_m]Cavidan[/name_m] credits their mother for being so trustworthy not to tell people when it’s clear they want to stay secret. They also credit their sister, who they have never called “half-sister”, but [name_m]Cavidan[/name_m] doesn’t want to acknowledge the man who hurt the family. [name_m]Cavidan[/name_m] doesn’t always hide from [name_f]Sana[/name_f] or their sister about the abuse, as the abuse was sadly something all 3 braced with. Despite [name_m]Cavidan[/name_m] not wanting to be open, they hate to lie and rarely do so, and feel immediately guilty after lying. Same with anything that could breach other’s trust for them, because they’ve been in places where they couldn’t trust people. Their estranged father would punish with abuse if they acted up and he would often make empty promises that he wouldn’t hurt anyone if they just “did what he wanted”. If he just did it out of rage, he wouldn’t take fault.

[name_m]Cavidan[/name_m] is very close with their sister, who helped them tremendously despite her being a victim as well. [name_m]Cavidan[/name_m] doesn’t want to be spoiled and gets nervous if other families think them and their sister are. [name_m]Cavidan[/name_m] attends community college and is doing fantastically, though it’s not without hours of working on it. They also have a part-time job and considered getting another for money, but isn’t sure if they want to risk hurting their already busy schedule. [name_m]Cavidan[/name_m] thinks [name_m]Yunis[/name_m] is a really nice guy and wants to be an active father yet secretive, which [name_m]Cavidan[/name_m] relates to, though they honestly agree with Ülviyyə that he should have come clean sooner. [name_m]Cavidan[/name_m] is unaware that [name_m]Yunis[/name_m] is hiding a growing crush on [name_f]Yana[/name_f], though their co-worker [name_f]Bliss[/name_f] seems to have caught on. [name_m]Cavidan[/name_m] finds it crazy how [name_f]Yana[/name_f] had been pregnant for months before realising and doesn’t quite understand how she had that so cryptically. They tried not to interfere too hard, though they heard from [name_f]Bliss[/name_f] and [name_f]Melisa[/name_f] that [name_f]Yana[/name_f] is likely to give birth before the year ends. [name_m]Cavidan[/name_m] is equally curious as [name_f]Sana[/name_f] when it comes to how [name_f]Yana[/name_f] and [name_m]Yunis[/name_m] will navigate parenthood. But feels better knowing [name_f]Sana[/name_f] convinced [name_m]Yunis[/name_m] to be more trusting to Ülviyyə, even if [name_m]Yunis[/name_m] is nervous and hasn’t trusted [name_m]Zeyd[/name_m] yet.

TW for aforementioned abuse; abandonment & other toxic households mentioned

[name_f]Xədi̇cə[/name_f] Mahamadova (24) is Cavidans’ sister and the older of Sanas’ children. Being raised by such a terrible man - not that [name_f]Xədi̇cə[/name_f] has any good opinions of her bio father - has left its mark in how she can come across, being an aloof and quiet person who doesn’t come out of her shell unless she feels totally confident.

She’s not shy exactly, but seems withdrawn to new people, however when she does trust someone, she’s very warm and believes in always doing her best to give good advice, especially to people she cares about.

Since graduating with her degree in Textile Design, [name_f]Xədi̇cə[/name_f] has worked in a different array of jobs, and actually does modelling on the side when she has opportunities, as it’s something that helps increase her confidence greatly. She lives with her mom and sibling at the moment, although she’d like to get a place with her close friend from middle school soonish. The two bonded as her friend likewise comes from a toxic household, although her circumstances were different from [name_f]Xədi̇cə[/name_f] and Cavidans’.

Being so close with her sibling also means [name_f]Xədi̇cə[/name_f] knows about Yunis’ growing interest in [name_f]Yana[/name_f], and she really hopes he’s able to express this thanks to what it will mean for their future as parents. [name_m]Cavidan[/name_m] always teases her that she can’t call him out though, as she had a crush on a friend of hers since college and still hasn’t come clean about this, not that [name_f]Xədi̇cə[/name_f] has any idea of how she could bring this up still.
