[name_f]Chantara[/name_f] " [name_f]Star[/name_f] " [name_f]Sirikit[/name_f] Ratanarak (22) is the girlfriend of [name_m]Rune[/name_m] and an acquaintance of [name_f]Bitsy[/name_f] and [name_m]Marzo[/name_m]. [name_f]Star[/name_f] is also a friend of [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], as they work together at Iridescent Idiosyncrasies. But while as [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is a makeup artist, [name_f]Star[/name_f] is the art director of the magazine— choosing which themes the zine would like to explore and collaborating with the editors to create the best product. [name_f]Star[/name_f] loves what she does, and adores that her boyfriend is not only in the same industry as she is, but understands what she’s doing this for.

[name_m]Rune[/name_m] and [name_f]Star[/name_f] bonded over their Thai heritage. Unlike [name_m]Rune[/name_m], however, [name_f]Star[/name_f] hails from a family with all daughters— five, to be exact. She’s the second youngest sister, while her oldest sister is 30. She remembers their first conversation being about whether or not it’s better to have brothers over sisters, and their friendship soon blossomed into love. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though [name_f]Star[/name_f] wasn’t aware of how deep Rune’s anxieties ran, she didn’t care when she found out; he was her friend and boyfriend. It would be ridiculous to find that off-putting.

What [name_f]Star[/name_f] does find off-putting, though, is possessive boyfriends. Her parents had an amicable divorce when she was in elementary school but the series of men her mother got herself entangled in was a mess. So many of them expected Star’s mother to ignore their kids in favour of them, and would often resort to manipulative tactics to keep her away from her children. She remembers that her mother was gone for most of her middle school and high school years, and her eldest sister had to take up that role. While [name_f]Star[/name_f] is eternally grateful for her older sisters and how they took care of them, [name_f]Star[/name_f] resents the way her mother made herself and her sisters grow up too fast. Her mother is single now, and [name_f]Star[/name_f] hopes it stays that way. Perhaps that’s why [name_f]Star[/name_f] is so adamant on [name_m]Rune[/name_m] patching things up with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]— there’s a part of her that sees her mother’s actions in what Amelia’s doing, and she really hopes [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] would make the right choices.

While [name_f]Star[/name_f] does not live with her boyfriend, she lives with two roommates. They all have extremely contrasting careers, but they suprisingly live well together. She considers them to be her closest friends outside of the people working at Iridescent Idiosyncrasies, and cares for them deeply. However, when one of her roommates left her phone on the countertop, she saw a very romantic message from someone… someone that wasn’t her roommate’s boyfriend. She’s confided in [name_m]Rune[/name_m] about this, but she doesn’t know whether or not she should confront her roommate about this situation.
