🍰 ✿ create a family with a twist

[name_f]Enya[/name_f] [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] [name_m]Cleary[/name_m] (30) is Autumns’ younger sister and Brees’ aunt, who shares a close bond with both of them. A choreographer, [name_f]Enya[/name_f] mostly works in TV actually, being part of any/all dance related fictionalised shows that need proper guidance on how to portray process accurately. This wasn’t what she imagined as a job as a kid, when she wanted to be a prima ballerina more than anything, but it’s something that makes [name_f]Enya[/name_f] happy, and that’s what matters to her in the end.

[name_f][/name_f]

Between her work schedule, [name_f]Enya[/name_f] spends a lot of her time exploring new places. One of her best friends is an archeologist who invites her to come visit when she’s out on digs, thanks to the relaxed atmosphere of the uni she’s part of, and [name_f]Enya[/name_f] loves going along. She’s not a history buff by any means, but seeing someone she cares for so excited is more than enough!

[name_f][/name_f]

Although she loves playing with [name_f]Bree[/name_f] and is excited to meet her sisters’ second child, [name_f]Enya[/name_f] isn’t feeling any compulsion to become a mother yet. She’d like to be one, some day, but right now she’s not even that bothered about dating. Not when she’s enjoying travelling with friends and continuing to work hard at her craft. Right now she lives in her own apartment with just her pet fish [name_f][/name_f]- [name_f]Marina[/name_f] & [name_m]Norton[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f]- for company, which is all [name_f]Enya[/name_f] feels is needed for her right now.

[name_f]Janessa[/name_f] ’ [name_f]Janie[/name_f] ’ [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] (Coogan) Coogan-Burkley (33) is one of Enya’s long-term friends. [name_f]Janie[/name_f] runs her own costume business, specialising in performance outfits for dancers, shared with her best friend, and she actually used to dance at the same studio as [name_f]Enya[/name_f] for a time when they were kids, but moved away with her family when she was 8. When they re-met they initially didn’t recognise each other [name_f][/name_f]- [name_f][/name_f] as [name_f]Janie[/name_f] was just [name_f]Janessa[/name_f] when they were kids [name_f][/name_f]- but when it dawned on them who they actually were, they re-bonded swiftly.

[name_f][/name_f]

As the oldest of three herself, having two younger brothers, Janie’s always been pretty organised. Neither of her siblings got her passion growing up (dancing was ‘boring’ according to her youngest brother back then), but it never dampened her enthusiasm, and this is something Janie’s maintained through life. She’s got an infectious enthusiasm for what has meaning to her, and it’s something her brother’s also have in their own ways.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Janie[/name_f] also got married quite young, being just 23 when she and her husband tied the knot. They met living in the same block of flats, bumping into each other because they both tended to do their laundry at weird times to avoid a rush of people. Some believed there had to be another reason or that things wouldn’t work out, but they’ve been going strong and it’s their 10th anniversary this year! They also now have children [name_f][/name_f]- a 4-year-old son and 10 month old daughter [name_f][/name_f]- who mean everything to the couple.

[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Darian[/name_m] “ [name_m]Darrow[/name_m] “ [name_m]Olivier[/name_m] Coogan (26) is the youngest brother of [name_f]Janie[/name_f], who shares quite a bit with both his siblings. Yet very much an individual. He was never a dancer, though sometimes he wishes that he picked up that skill because at Janie’s wedding, all he did during the dancing was basically step around. He works in astrophysics, and he wants to meet Enya’s archaeologist friend, despite them working in different sciences. He knows he’s not one who “looks or acts smart” but he considers it a secret weapon, and he jokes on the side that he’s also an activist. [name_m]Darrow[/name_m] is good at improv and has an optimistic and lighthearted sense of humour. He was voted “Party Boy” in his yearbook, even though he’s only hosted one house party and usually prefers to be a guest. [name_m]Darrow[/name_m] himself was surprised he got voted since he obviously didn’t dance and wasn’t the one getting all crazy. But ultimately he feels he got it because he was simply a hit at parties and he had a way to keep the mood light when controlling people who’d otherwise go too far. Darrow’s still had to use some of these tactics, like having a fun and friendly conversation with a drunk person while sneaking his hand to take the keys away so they don’t drive. While [name_m]Darrow[/name_m] is mostly liked, he’s very opinionated and makes a lot of non-sequitur statements. “Can you believe there’s [name_f][/name_f] legal adults[name_f][/name_f] now who were born after[name_f][/name_f] [name_m]Pluto[/name_m] was demoted as a planet?” [name_m]Darrow[/name_m] was one of those kids who was genuinely sad when that happened in his childhood. But hey, he’s moved on and he’s happy now![name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Darrow[/name_m] wasn’t sure how [name_f]Janie[/name_f] and her husband would do as a couple, but he’s always optimistic in wanting them to “wildly succeed in a blaze of glory” or “divorce trying” (though he said the former way[name_f][/name_f] more). [name_m]Darrow[/name_m] admits he has a lot of youthful energy as the youngest sibling, having a good attention span as long as he keeps it interesting. The people [name_m]Darrow[/name_m] gets along with least are boring or killjoy people and while his childhood was awesome, his parents always told him as a kid to not make so much noise outside. That’s because the neighbourhood had an enraged middle-aged couple who nobody liked because they were always yelling at their neighbours for the smallest things. People feared even walking past them because they overreacted a lot. [name_m]Darrow[/name_m] feels he relates to SpongeBob SquarePants[name_f][/name_f] in his character, and that the couple was basically Squidward (but more agitated and intimidating), not to mention, he’s a big huge stereotypical 2000s kid. The middle Coogan thinks it’s silly but [name_m]Darrow[/name_m] will defend it fiercely.

[name_f][/name_f]

It never bothers him to hear his sister and her husband talk about dancing, because he doesn’t hate[name_f][/name_f] it, he just feels like it’s not for him. Maybe in “another universe” it would be. While dancing never truly found him, he loves to see how the Coogan-Burkleys find fun in activities regardless of whether he would do them. He thinks they’re great dancers and admits their kids would do better at dancing than him. He relates to wanting to avoid people, the way he did with the former neighbours, and [name_m]Darrow[/name_m] only likes crowds if it’s for something fun, not laundry. The “laundry love” would never happen to him because he always does it early to “get that monotony out of the way” but loves how it helped somebody[name_f][/name_f]. He finds it awesome to see [name_f]Janie[/name_f] and [name_f]Enya[/name_f] reconnect, alongside [name_f]Janie[/name_f] about to ring in 10 years of marriage, and he’s always enjoyed blasts from the past. He just returned from a holiday in [name_f]Belize[/name_f], which was his first childhood vacation outside the country, and needless to say, he did everything as accurately as he remembered it then. [name_m]Darrow[/name_m] insists if his niece and nephew ever have a trip that they’re old enough to remember, that they have[name_f][/name_f] to recreate it sometime as adults.
