How did they meet, and how long have they been together?: They’ve been together 4 years. [name_m]Haldan[/name_m] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] met because they always get the same bus together, and one day - when the bus was unusually full - [name_f]Iris[/name_f] ended up sitting next to [name_m]Haldan[/name_m]. This led to them striking up a conversation, and the rest is history
How did she find out about the pregnancy?: After what she assumed was food poisoning didn’t go away for several weeks, [name_f]Iris[/name_f] decided to take a pregnancy test, just so she knew it wasn’t something more serious. This is when she learned of her pregnancy.
What are her feelings about this? Well, she’s certainly glad it’s not food poisoning! She is very excited to share this with her husband and wants a good life for her bundle of joy. Throughout the pregnancy, she gets a lot more maternal feelings.
What are his feelings about this? It takes longer for [name_m]Haldan[/name_m] to get his head around things. While he’s never unhappy about this, it’s a shock! However as the maternal side of [name_f]Iris[/name_f] begins to emerge, his own paternal qualities are enhanced, and the joy very much settles for him.
Cravings: She craves spicy foods most but also wants foods that she has to avoid like fish, which she will enjoy after the baby is born. She also strangely likes charcoal but knows that it’s not food and can’t understand why she craves it.
Mood: While on an external level, [name_f]Iris[/name_f] seems joyous, there’s part of her very fragile. It makes her reflect on all the loss her own parents went through prior to her birth, as well as her fears about how the future could be shaped for her own family, and she can become quite overwhelmed in private.

How did they feel about [name_f]Iris[/name_f] expecting?: Everyone’s terribly excited - the [name_m]Randal[/name_m] family are bigger so there’s a lot more children around them, however [name_f]Vita[/name_f] especially is delighted to become an aunt! His parents are very fond of [name_f]Iris[/name_f] too, which helps things further.

When did she realize she was going into labor?: The day after her due date, although she technically had been in labour for about 3 hours.

Birth story: A baby was delivered by their midwife at the local hospital after 3 hours. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] delivered the couple’s first child at 11:31am and was the first to hold the newborn. She and [name_m]Haldan[/name_m] cried tears of joy and both sides of the family have met the baby shortly after.
Any disabilties: Their child is partially deaf in their left ear, however this is something [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_m]Haldan[/name_m] adapt to smoothly, with full support from their families.
