When [name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Richard[/name_m] [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_m]Miguel[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] Weberly, the [name_m]Earl[/name_m] of Edinburgh, was 3 years old, his Father [name_m]Richard[/name_m]'s Twin Brother, [name_m]Rupert[/name_m], became the Father of a GORGEOUS [name_u]Baby[/name_u] Girl, Lady [name_f]Irene[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] Weberly of [name_m]Davenport[/name_m]. The two Brothers were so close that they decided to arrange a marriage between their two eldest children to ensure that their Families would always remain close.
Twenty years later [name_m]Charles[/name_m] had grown into a gentle giant with large, warm, hazel eyes and short, wavy, mid-brown hair. He was known for his gentle wisdom and scholarly ways, but also for his ardent compassion for those less fortunate than himself! He had recently become formally Engaged to his [name_f]Beloved[/name_f] First Cousin, Lady [name_f]Irene[/name_f] Weberly, 20, and was happily contemplating a quiet life serving his [name_f]Queen[/name_f] as the [name_m]Earl[/name_m] of Edinburgh while enjoying the company of his sweet Wife and, hopefully, large Family. One afternoon he was reading the world news in the newspaper in his Father’s Library when he came across an article about the tyrannical rule of [name_m]King[/name_m] [name_m]Guillaume[/name_m] V of Luxembourg who had slaughtered the rightful [name_m]King[/name_m] of Luxembourg, his Second Cousin, and his entire immediate Family, and was now ruling over the Sovereign people of Luxembourg with a brutal system of government where people had to obey him unquestioningly or die. What he read riled [name_m]Charles[/name_m] up into an uncharacteristic rage of passionate fury! He stormed into his Father’s Library and, throwing the offensive article down on the desk in front of him, he declared that he would not marry his Darling [name_f]Irene[/name_f] until the good people of Luxembourg were saved from their usurping tyrant [name_m]King[/name_m]! His poor, startled Father tried to reason with his normally level headed [name_m]Son[/name_m], but to no avail! [name_m]Charles[/name_m] marched up the staircase to his Bedroom to pack. Less than an hour later, [name_m]Charles[/name_m] strode out the front door and into the stables, and was galloping away towards “Ashfield Manor”, his Fiancee’s home in [name_m]Davenport[/name_m], on his huge jet black steed!
When gentle [name_f]Irene[/name_f] looked up from her tapestry the following afternoon, she saw her enraged Suitor coming galloping down the driveway on his Stallion, Charger! [name_f]Irene[/name_f] flew to the front door, her soft, pale grey eyes wide with fright! [name_m]Even[/name_m] through his rage [name_m]Charles[/name_m] was struck by her delicate beauty as she stood with her long tawny curls floating around her. When [name_m]Charles[/name_m] gently explained the situation to [name_f]Irene[/name_f] she smiled bravely through her tears and said that of course he must go at once to the [name_f]Queen[/name_f] and offer his services to right this terrible wrong! [name_f]Irene[/name_f]'s Father arrived home from his afternoon ride with her three younger Brothers at just that moment, and all four of them promised to accompany [name_m]Charles[/name_m] on his noble quest if he would agree to stay the night at “Ashfield Manor” and depart refreshed, on a properly rested horse, in the morning. [name_m]Charles[/name_m] saw the sense in this and also realised how important it would be to approach the [name_f]Queen[/name_f] with a calm, clear head.
Two days later the five Weberlys arrived in [name_u]London[/name_u] and presented their concerns to the [name_f]Queen[/name_f]. She was deeply moved by their heartfelt compassion for the plight of the People of Luxembourg and immediately appointed [name_m]Charles[/name_m] as her Ambassador to Luxembourg, with his eldest younger Cousin, [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], 18, as his Assistant.
For the next five years [name_m]Charles[/name_m] and [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] worked tirelessly together to influence the tyrannical reign of [name_m]King[/name_m] [name_m]Guillaume[/name_m] V of Luxembourg, imposing sanctions and enlisting the support of Belgium, Germany and [name_f]France[/name_f], but [name_m]Guillaume[/name_m] remained unmoved by their pleas for a democratic government in Luxembourg. Eventually it was decided that only the assassination of [name_m]King[/name_m] [name_m]Guillaume[/name_m] V could save the People of Luxembourg. This goal was eventually achieved three days after [name_m]Charles[/name_m]’ 31st Birthday. It was unanimously decided that [name_m]Charles[/name_m] should be crowned [name_m]King[/name_m] [name_m]Charles[/name_m] the First of Luxembourg! Finally, a year after his glorious Coronation, [name_m]Charles[/name_m] was free to marry his [name_f]Beloved[/name_f], patiently waiting and endlessly supportive, [name_f]Irene[/name_f] and have her crowned [name_f]Queen[/name_f] [name_f]Irene[/name_f] the Peaceful!
For the dual Wedding and Coronation Ceremony [name_f]Irene[/name_f] looked resplendent in this Gown:
[name_m]Charles[/name_m] joyfully placed the following ring on her finger:
and carried her over the threshold of this Castle:
