Creative honor names

I love creative, indirect honor names. I somewhat recently found out that my mother-in-law’s name means ‘honeybee’ and we have a daughter named [name_f]Bea[/name_f], who we often call [name_f]Busy[/name_f] [name_f]Bee[/name_f].

What are your favorite creative/unexpected/indirect honor names?

For my mom, I would likely honor her by using one of her favorite names or pop culture references. She loves [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] and [name_f]Zuzu[/name_f], so I would love to use one of those as a middle. For a boy, probably [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] or [name_u]George[/name_u]. She loves It’s A Wonderful Life! For my dad, Ralphie would be a fun one (from A Christmas Story) or Millie Rosemary to honor his mom / my grandma.

These are less obvious one on my list

Azucena- it means lily, after my best friend [name_f]Lily[/name_f]
[name_f]Azula[/name_f]- means blue; my sisters fav color is blue. It’s also a character from our fav show we watch together
[name_u]Honor[/name_u]- after my grandma [name_f]Gloria[/name_f]
[name_f]Amidala[/name_f]- after my mother Am!e
[name_u]Omari[/name_u]- after both my parents, 0mar and Am!e (they actually considered this for me)
[name_m]Xil[/name_m]- after my grandpa [name_m]Gilberto[/name_m] ‘[name_m]Gil[/name_m]’ and my dad ([name_m]Gilberto[/name_m] is his middle)
Ursalia- it’s a version of [name_f]Ursula[/name_f] and [name_f]Ursa[/name_f] which mean ‘bear’, my grandma’s favorite animal is a bear
Glorimar- after my grandma and dad, [name_f]Gloria[/name_f] and 0mar
[name_f]Amada[/name_f]- after my mom Am!e
[name_u]October[/name_u]- my grandfather [name_u]Jaime[/name_u] was born in [name_u]October[/name_u]
[name_f]Helena[/name_f]- after my grandmother [name_f]Angela[/name_f], her nn is Hela which can be a diminutive of [name_f]Helena[/name_f]
[name_m]Zephaniah[/name_m]- after my baby sis, kinda hard to explain without giving a ton of info out
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]- my moms favorite flower are roses
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]- my grandma’s favorite stone are opals

and more that I’ll write when I get time

This is probably a very big stretch and probably only makes sense to me but [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is an honour name for my mum and nan as they both have the middle name [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Brontë[/name_f] wrote [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Eyre[/name_f]
