What are some creative nicknames for [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]? I love the name for a third daughter but would love it more if I had a good, spunky nickname to use for it.
Ideas?
Griet and [name_f]Inga[/name_f] were my first thoughts.
[name_m]Iggy[/name_m], Inna, [name_f]Greer[/name_f].
I like @reynardine’s suggestion of [name_f]Inga[/name_f] and @katymwolff’s suggestion of [name_m]Iggy[/name_m].
[name_f]Rida[/name_f]? [name_f]Ginny[/name_f] seems like it might work. [name_f]Indie[/name_f]? Ini?
[name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Iggy[/name_m]! And [name_f]Inga[/name_f]!
Only other one I can come up with is [name_f]Ida[/name_f]. Or maybe [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] at a stretch? It’s not the easiest name to nickname!
I second the suggestions of [name_f]Inga[/name_f], [name_f]Rida[/name_f], [name_f]Ginny[/name_f] and [name_f]Ida[/name_f]! So cute. I think my favourite (and also the most intuitive) is [name_f]Inga[/name_f]. 
[name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] is too beautiful to nickname. I would probably use a sweet pet name at home like Ingie.
I like Idgie as a nickname for [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f].
Another thought: [name_f]Greta[/name_f]?
So many great nicknames for [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]! The ones that have already been mentioned [name_m]Iggy[/name_m] and [name_f]Indy[/name_f] are particularly wonderful in my opinion. I also think you could get away with [name_m]Ziggy[/name_m]. [name_f]Inga[/name_f] is also nice.
[name_f]Ida[/name_f] would also be a great one.
I feel like [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] lens itself well to nicknames because it has a strong I sound. This means if your last name starts with an L or a S. It’s not hard to picture calling her [name_f]Ila[/name_f] or [name_u]Isa[/name_u]. I super love the name [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] and the nicknames are a big draw to it!
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Edie[/name_f]? Or Idie, if you want to spell it closer to the name? [name_m]Iggy[/name_m] is super cute and [name_f]Indy[/name_f] is adorable.
I think pretty much everything possible has been said, but I like, [name_m]Iggy[/name_m] and [name_f]Greer[/name_f] the most.
