I’m curious to hear the creative ways Berries are honoring their loved ones- without using the actual names. For example, some of my ancestors had the last name Paradise, so I have [name_u]Eden[/name_u] and [name_f]Acadia[/name_f] (which means idyllic place) on my list to honor that side of my family. Please share your creative honor names!
Whenever I talk about names with my mom, she always says how much she loves [name_f]Frieda[/name_f] and [name_m]Victor[/name_m]. Now, I do like [name_f]Frieda[/name_f] but not enough to use it (at least not at the moment), however, I do have [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] on my list, which means “peaceful ruler” and is basically the male form of [name_f]Frieda[/name_f].
[name_m]Victor[/name_m], I actually quite like as a name, so it went on my list. It is also the meaning of the middle name of my grandfather. Now [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] and [name_m]Victor[/name_m] have actually ended up in the same combo.
[name_f]Eulalia[/name_f] is on my list (though I can’t really find a spot for her) because she is the patron saint of [name_f]Barcelona[/name_f] and part of my family has lived there for many years (still does).
My Grandfather was a very important part of my life and I would love to honor him. His name, [name_m]John[/name_m], offers many possibilities. However, my own name is a variation of [name_m]John[/name_m] (female) so I feel a little odd going that route. In order to honor his spirit I have thought of using the name of his favorite artist [name_m]Wolf[/name_m] Khan. [name_m]Wolf[/name_m] or [name_m]Wolfgang[/name_m] would also honor his [name_m]German[/name_m] heritage.
