[name_m]How[/name_m] do you pronounce [name_f]Cressida[/name_f]? I looked at the pronunciation guide on its name page, but am still not sure. Cress-EYE-da? Cress-ID-a, where “id” rhymes with “did”? Something else entirely?
I think Cress-eye-da is very pretty, but I don’t know if that’s actually how you say it.

As far as I know it’s KRESS-ih-da (id like in did).
I’ve only heard it pronounced this way. It’s a beautiful name.
I’ve always said krə-[name_m]SID[/name_m]-ah, but hearing [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] Bonus in the media recently I think it’s more like KRESS-ih-dah as mentioned above. It’s only a teeny-tiny emphasis change though.
I’ve never heard kress-EYE-dah and I don’t think it’s a legitimate pn (correct me if I’m wrong, somebody!). I think it’s pretty though. I heard [name_f]Alida[/name_f] recently pronounced ə-LYE-dah which I thought was gorgeous.
I say KRESS-ih-duh, which I really like. It’s a lovely name with a cool meaning.
