Cressida Vivian or back to the drawing board?

We have had the name [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] picked out for a while if we have a girl.
Im not sure if it’s the time of the pregnancy and the pressure or what but I feel like I’m going off it, my husband is still v keen. I think he thinks once a name is picked that’s it!
I like [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f], [name_f]Xanthia[/name_f], [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] also.
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is a long term favourite of mine but I think that if my husband hasn’t said yes already he’s unlikely to now (it was my top choice for baby number 1 too if he’d been a girl).
I feel like I’m just hoping the baby is a boy so we can use [name_m]Ludo[/name_m] and get on with it! This is what happened with [name_m]Casper[/name_m] and it was a name we both loved.
However there is obviously a 50% chance we’ll get a girl and I dont want to feel I don’t like her name!
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you guys have other suggestions based on the names above or do you like [name_f]Cressida[/name_f]?
I think I’m worried what I’ll call her…Cress, [name_f]Cressa[/name_f]? I don’t think I like sid.
Thanks! Im sure I’m over thinking this!

I am biased because I don’t like [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] (for no reason, it’s just far from my style) but there is nothing wrong with the name at all and the combo is quite lovely. My favourite nickname for [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] would be [name_f]Essie[/name_f]. I think you are possibly overthinking and/or nit-picking but there is still plenty of time (I hope) to mull over the name or venture elsewhere.

From your signature, I like [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]/[name_f]Cecily[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]'s a nice name but [name_f]Xanthia[/name_f] and [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f] are really pretentious and stuffy… [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] would also go well with [name_m]Casper[/name_m], but would you be starting a C trend there (same with [name_f]Cressida[/name_f])? Would that bother you? I’m assuming it doesn’t, as you had [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] already picked, but I’m just putting it out there.

With [name_m]Casper[/name_m] Denn!s, I think [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] or [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] fit the best. [name_m]Casper[/name_m] feels like a very cool name, not at all pretentious but still classy, while I find [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] to be pushing it a little bit thus clashing with [name_m]Casper[/name_m]. Obviously this is just my own opinion which can be ignored if it doesn’t phase you, but that’s how I see it.

At the end of the day, if you’re doubting yourself, I would look elsewhere. Still have [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] there just in case you fall back in love with it and/or your SO doesn’t like anything else, but don’t just stick with the name for the sake of keeping the peace or something along those lines. There’s way too many people doing just that and getting name regret! Good luck.

[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] is gorgeous! Though personally I prefer the [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] spelling, [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] is beautiful, and I second [name_f]Essie[/name_f] as a nickname.
