Crushing on *some* -ley names WDYT?

So none of these are really names I ever plan on using, but for some reason I find the sounds very appealing lately! Not really berry-style, but what do you think? (brackets contain my associations with the names/gender thought) Any you could add to the list with a similar feel? (No -ailey names or [name]Ashley[/name]!!)

[name]Ripley[/name] (Believe it or not! - Girl??)
[name]Radley[/name] (Boo - Boy??)
[name]Hadley[/name] (The [name]Paris[/name] Wife - Girl)
[name]Ridley[/name] ([name]Ridley[/name] [name]Scott[/name] - Boy)

Thanks!

None of them are my style at all, sorry:p [name]Hadley[/name] is actually kind of popular, btw.

I love [name]Hadley[/name]. It’s getting more and more popular, but I still love it. I like [name]Ripley[/name] and [name]Ridley[/name] as well. The only one I’m not crazy about is [name]Radley[/name]. It’s not horrible, I just don’t like the ‘rad’ part. Reminds me too much of my high school band teacher who called everything rad.

I love the Boo [name]Radley[/name] association and like the name. I do know one guy named [name]Radley[/name] for that reason. He is 22.

We named our daughter 15 years ago, much before the -ley trend. There are still so many of the names that I crush on.

My very fave of all time is Wetherly. I go through phases with [name]Waverly[/name]. As a rule, I love true English surnames with -ley ending (as long as they aren’t wildly popular) and don’t care for ANY of the newer adaptations to -ley ending ([name]Brinsley[/name], [name]Kinley[/name], [name]Kayley[/name], etc.)

[name]Hadley[/name] is ok for a girl. The others not so much.

What about [name]Bradley[/name] for [name]Wesley[/name] for a boy? :).

These names aren’t my style at all though there are a few -ley names I like. [name]Conley[/name] and [name]Riley[/name] (both boy) are nice.

[name]Ripley[/name] - bad associations for me.
[name]Radley[/name] - I actually like the sound of this. It reminds me a bit of [name]Ramsay[/name], could be a great middle name. If it had family or place-name meaning, especially. I think the Boo [name]Radley[/name] association is a good thing too: although a child might wonder why they were named for a mentally handicapped character in a novel it would make for an amazing discussion/“teaching point”/life lesson.
I don’t know why, but [name]Hadley[/name] and [name]Ridley[/name] both sound more harsh to me than [name]Radley[/name] does. Maybe I am just hearing [name]Radley[/name] in that soft southern drawl of the narrator in Too Kill a Mockingbird!

I have a weakness for surnames but am still randomly picky as with all names, sur or otherwise! lol I like the name [name]Marley[/name] - at least, I did before it became irrevocably associated with a dog - and am drawn to [name]Langley[/name] because of the Canadian link.

[name]Ripley[/name] is my favourite -ley name because of the Alien association
[name]Ellen[/name] [name]Ripley[/name] is just a rad character and Alien is a really iconic film.

[name]Ripley[/name] - I like [name]Ripley[/name] also because of the Alien association.
[name]Radley[/name] - Not bad. Would get mistaken for [name]Bradley[/name] all the time.
[name]Hadley[/name] - The only [name]Hadley[/name] I ever met was an elderly lady, and I have liked the name ever since.
[name]Ridley[/name] - I don’t mind it.

I actually really like [name]Radley[/name] personally. My dad’s name is [name]Bradley[/name] and I want to honor him when I have a son, but he hates his name. He likes [name]Radley[/name] though, probably because his dorky friends call him “[name]Rad[/name] [name]Brad[/name]”. [name]Just[/name] thinking about it makes me want to roll my eyes, haha.
