For some odd reason, girls names seem to be much harder for me to pick out than boys. So, I think I’ve finally got one name and I was just wondering what you thought. I welcome all opinions and any suggestions. Here is the name:
[name]May[/name] not stick with that exact spelling of [name]Ryleigh[/name], but my boyfriend and I both actually love and agree upon the name. For those interested in leaving suggestions, we both really like unisex names, but I tend to lean more toward the feminine side of that. I love beautiful names as well, but the boyfriend doesn’t much care for them. So, I figure our compromise would be a more feminine unisex name. Its all very complicated and we struggle a lot trying to find names that we both like. So, like I said, any help would be not only welcomed but greatly appreciated.
Very pretty. I prefer [name]Riley[/name] to [name]Ryleigh[/name] but either way it’s very nice. I think [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Mae[/name] is a great choice for middle names.
If you’re looking for other ideas I think [name]Piper[/name] is my absolute favorite unisex name. [name]Harlow[/name] is pretty as well.
[name]Ryleigh[/name] if you choose it would be better as [name]Riley[/name], but I would not suggest it as there are many better alternatives i.m.o.
If you want a feminine unisex name [name]Bellamy[/name] and [name]Avalon[/name] are perfect, with the lovely nn’s of [name]Belle[/name] and [name]Ava[/name].
[name]Both[/name] combos include an [name]Elizabeth[/name] variant that I like more than [name]Elizabeth[/name].
More suggestions
[name]Courtney[/name] [name]Amelia[/name]
[name]Alexa[/name] [name]Madison[/name] I would never suggest [name]Madison[/name] as a first name but it fits nicely like this.
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Leigh[/name]
[name]Finley[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Paige[/name] [name]Alessandra[/name]/[name]Alexandra[/name]
[name]Rowan[/name] [name]Susannah[/name]
[name]Tahlia[/name] [name]Elise[/name] ([name]Tahlia[/name] is a great alternative to the overused unisex [name]Taylor[/name])
[name]Carys[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name]
First, I always prefer the traditional spelling of any name. Therefore I would suggest using the [name]Riley[/name] spelling unless you are prepared for a lifetime of corrections. A headache for you and then ultimately your daughter.
Second, [name]Riley[/name] is quite popular in [name]Texas[/name] where I live. Several in my sons elementary school - boys and girls. This may not be the case for you.
Lastly, [name]Riley[/name] and “[name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Mae[/name]” does not seem to go together. [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Mae[/name] are classic feminine names and [name]Riley[/name] is unisex as you mentioned.
I love the name [name]Bellamy[/name] suggested by a previous poster. It has the quirkiness of [name]Riley[/name] but with feminity. [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Mae[/name] - nickname [name]Belle[/name].
One of the first names i really wanted to name my little girl was Hollyn or [name]Holland[/name] but my fiance said he wanted a girlier name for her. If I were to pick a name that wasn’t exactly feminine but still very pretty i would have to go with this one and i would make the middle name very feminine
Some more unisex-sounding names (Im surely repeating some, so apologies):
[name]Harper[/name]
[name]Shelby[/name]
[name]Drew[/name]
[name]Darby[/name]
[name]Jaymes[/name] (I knew a little girl names [name]Jaymes[/name], though the [name]James[/name] spelling is cute too, and it fit her so perfectly that I’ve loved it on girls ever since)
[name]Evan[/name]
[name]Paige[/name]
[name]Piper[/name]
[name]Wallis[/name]
[name]Reese[/name]
[name]Mason[/name]
[name]Greer[/name]
[name]Frances[/name]
[name]Kai[/name]
[name]Thalie[/name]/ [name]Tallie[/name]/[name]Tali[/name]
[name]Theo[/name]
While [name]Riley[/name] is not my favourite unisex name, I do think that [name]Riley[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Mae[/name] is extremely pretty, good choices!
