Cute but Adventerous

I have a few names that I really like, and I was wondering what you thought of them! I want something cute, but adventerous too.

[name]Avery[/name]- nn [name]Avy[/name]
[name]Natalia[/name]- nn [name]Natty[/name]
[name]Violet[/name]- nn [name]Vi[/name]. I love this name but every time I hear it I think of the character from ‘the incredibels’! what do you think?!
[name]Marley[/name]- Another name I love. Can’t think of a nn tho…
[name]Anneliese[/name]- [name]LOVe[/name] this name, but then I think about kindergarten when she will be trying to learn to spell her name…

I would love your opionions and suggestions!

I think [name]Violet[/name] is very cute. No one’s going to remember that movie character so don’t worry!

My dog’s name is [name]Marli[/name] - with an I, and if I didn’t have a dog named that I might name a child that! I think it’s cuter with an I and is less like bob [name]Marley[/name].

I also love [name]Avery[/name] & [name]Violet[/name] and agree that noone will think of that movie character. I’ve seen the movie and don’t even remember there being a [name]Violet[/name]. I do, however, think of [name]Ben[/name] Affleck’s daughter, but that’s not a huge biggie I don’t think.

[name]Avery[/name]- I used to like this name till I realized it sounds like ovary and now i can’t get that out of my head.

[name]Natalia[/name]- great name, I think [name]Nate[/name] would be a cute and spunky nn on a girl

[name]Violet[/name]- like it! I think of Incredibles too, and of the doctor on Private Practice, but I think that they are both good characters and once you named a girl [name]Violet[/name] that you would forget those associations.

[name]Marley[/name]- like it! I don’t think it needs a nn! You could use [name]Marlowe[/name] or [name]Marla[/name] and have [name]Marley[/name] be the nn?

[name]Anneliese[/name]- like it! I wouldn’t let kindergarten deter you. Kids are smart, she’ll adapt, you could always practice a lot before kindergarten so she’s got it in advance!
Good luck!

[name]Avery[/name]- nn [name]Avy[/name] - I like it, but not my favorite from your list!

[name]Natalia[/name]- nn [name]Natty[/name] - I love [name]Natalia[/name], but not nn [name]Natty[/name] (Reminds me of the cheap beer Natural [name]Light[/name]- more often called [name]Natty[/name] [name]Light[/name]). I think [name]Tali[/name] is adorable though and has some spunk, too!.

[name]Violet[/name]- nn [name]Vi[/name]. - I didn’t think of The Incredibles at first, but I did think of [name]Jennifer[/name] [name]Garner[/name] and [name]Ben[/name] Affleck. I feel like they took over this name!

[name]Marley[/name]- I love it and don’t feel like this one needs a nn. If you absolutely needed to have one, maybe [name]Lee[/name]? I also like the spelling [name]Marlie[/name].

[name]Anneliese[/name]- I completely agree with your thoughts on this one. I don’t really picture it as cute and adventurous, either, maybe cute, but sophisticated?

Good luck!

[name]Avery[/name]- this name to me is dated like madison
[name]Natalia[/name]- classic and pretty
[name]Violet[/name]- I dont think it needs a nn. Nt adventerous at all its really popular
[name]Marley[/name]- I DONT like it at all it seems trendy
[name]Anneliese[/name]- [name]Love[/name] this name as well

Of these, I think that [name]Violet[/name] is the one I would characterize most as cute, but adventurous. The pairing of [name]Violet[/name] [name]Anneliese[/name] is really quite stunning, too.

Other names I would regard as cute, but adventurous, include: [name]Annabel[/name], [name]Cara[/name], [name]Elsa[/name], [name]Fiona[/name], [name]Hazel[/name], [name]Isla[/name], [name]Leonie[/name], [name]Miranda[/name], [name]Naomi[/name], [name]Olive[/name], [name]Phoebe[/name], [name]Sadie[/name] (or as a nickname for [name]Sarah[/name]), and [name]Willa[/name]…

[name]Avery[/name]- nn [name]Avy[/name] - trendy, but pretty.
[name]Natalia[/name]- nn [name]Natty[/name] - love
[name]Violet[/name]- nn [name]Vi[/name]. I love this name but every time I hear it I think of the character from ‘the incredibels’! what do you think?! - I never heard of that character. I think it doesn’t matter.
[name]Marley[/name]- Another name I love. Can’t think of a nn tho… - [name]Marley[/name] doesn’t need a nn. It is easy to say, shout, whisper, etc.!
[name]Anneliese[/name]- [name]LOVe[/name] this name, but then I think about kindergarten when she will be trying to learn to spell her name… - She could learn to spell it if you practice with her. [name]Little[/name] kids love learning how to spell their names. [name]Anneliese[/name] is my favorite choice on your list! You could write the whole name for her in light pencil and in huge writing. Then she could write over it with a crayon. That’s how you could get started teaching her how to spell her name.

I just have to comment on [name]Avery[/name] because it’s one of those names that I can’t help but like, though I think I understand why you might be hesitant to use it.
For me, I really like [name]Avery[/name], even though technically it’s a different style from all the other names I like and even though I tend to strongly dislike unisex names. (Oddly, I actually like [name]Avery[/name] for both a boy or a girl, but I probably wouldn’t use it for either in the end). There’s something fresh and crisp about it that I find attractive. It’s familiar and accessible but not overused. It has a lighthearted feel (makes me think of the ocean for some reason) while still sounding solid enough to be taken seriously. On a girl, I think it sounds confident, capable, and even a bit daring. It’s the kind of name I think most people will generally like (or at least not strongly dislike) and that a person wouldn’t mind having. I think you should keep it on your list if you love it, and for a girl, I would pair it with a no-nonsense feminine middle to really bolster it’s charm, such as [name]Avery[/name] [name]Caroline[/name].

[name]Avery[/name]- nn [name]Avy[/name]

  • like name, don’t like nn, although think you can also use [name]Ava[/name] as a nn?

[name]Natalia[/name]- nn [name]Natty[/name]

  • like this name, sounds European and don’t run into it too much nowadays

[name]Violet[/name]- nn [name]Vi[/name]. I love this name but every time I hear it I think of the character from ‘the incredibels’! what do you think?!

  • doesn’t remind me of “the incredibles” at all; I’m not a fan of [name]Violet[/name] but absolutely live the nn [name]Vi[/name]

[name]Marley[/name]- Another name I love. Can’t think of a nn tho…

  • [name]Love[/name] [name]Marley[/name] too! No need for a nn, although agree w/ previous reply that you can name her [name]Marlowe[/name] and call her [name]Marley[/name]…very cute!!!

[name]Anneliese[/name]- [name]LOVe[/name] this name, but then I think about kindergarten when she will be trying to learn to spell her name…

  • agree that you shouldn’t worry about kindergarten

GOOD [name]LUCK[/name]!

My daughters name is [name]Averie[/name] and if I happen to shorten her name I just call her [name]Ave[/name] or Aves. My step-mom calls her [name]Ava[/name] and it drives me crazy, to me it’s a completely different name and if I wanted to name her [name]Ava[/name] I would have. LOL

My daughters name is [name]Marli[/name] and I love it. But it is also a nickname for [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Lillian[/name]. I think that you need a less bubbly full name for when she is not a child anymore.

I like [name]Natalia[/name],[name]Violet[/name] and [name]Marley[/name].
