Definitely agree with what’s been said, tacky when super obvious but cute when subtle. When the parents choose names that sounds good together and that they both like, then it usually works out well. With themes, sometimes it feels like fitting the name into that theme is more important than finding the right name for their individual child. It’s like fitting them onto a set rather than giving them their own identity.
anyways, my sister and I are [name_f]Laurel[/name_f] (me) and [name_f]Heather[/name_f]- quite by accident. No theme intended, my parents loved both names individually and it worked out really nicely. Nature is a great theme because it has so many possibilities. I, too, love nature names. We’re current considering [name_f]Nova[/name_f] as a fn and if I had a second daughter in the future, I would make sure to stay clear of any other cosmic/astronomy names as it would turn tacky fast. However, I think another name meaning light or bright would be cute. I’ve heard of a sibset named [name_f]Nova[/name_f] and [name_f]Lux[/name_f] and thought that was adorable and not too matchy.
