Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy

[name]Claire[/name] Danes and her husband [name]Hugh[/name] Dancy welcomed son [name]Cyrus[/name] [name]Michael[/name] [name]Christopher[/name] Dancy on [name]Monday[/name] Dec 17th. WDYT of the name? I could see [name]Cyrus[/name] gaining some popularity.

Usually when a celebrity uses a name I like, I say “Nooooo!” But I think [name]Cyrus[/name] needs a little more love before I could actually use it, so I am happy.

[name]LOVE[/name] the nickname [name]Cy[/name]. Almost want to use it alone.

I like [name]Cyrus[/name], but not [name]Michael[/name] or [name]Christopher[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are way overdone. I could see [name]Cyrus[/name] gaining popularity. Especially with the nickname [name]Cy[/name] which many people seem to like.

I was really excited when I saw the name [name]Cyrus[/name] showing up prominently on the main page and immediately thought “Some celebrity just must have used it”. It has been my favorite boys’ name for over 10 years now, ever since I used it for the main character of the near-future sci-fi novel I’ve been casually working on since 1999. The name was generally considered really out-there on the (American) baby name forums I used to frequent back then, so I find it refreshing to see it receive some more love these days. Sadly, I’ll never be able to use it for a future son because it just wouldn’t work in my language. (Then again, when I used to work at a [name]German[/name] amusement park a couple of years ago, I once overheard a ([name]German[/name] native speaker and not at all Iranian-looking) mom calling out her sons’ names, which I delightfully registered as [name]Cyrus[/name] and [name]Darius[/name]. It was the most awesome name-related experience I ever had.)

Sorry for digressing, back to the topic. The middle names are a bit overused for my liking, but fine nonetheless, and the combo has a great flow to it. Congrats to [name]Claire[/name] & [name]Hugh[/name]!

[name]Cyrus[/name] is a wonderful choice. An old name with history. [name]Michael[/name] and [name]Christopher[/name] aren’t faves of mine but they’re fine names nonetheless. A really solid combo.

I really like [name]Cyrus[/name]!

I love [name]Cyrus[/name] [name]Michael[/name] or [name]Cyrus[/name] [name]Christopher[/name], but [name]Cyrus[/name] [name]Michael[/name] [name]Christopher[/name] is a little long for my taste.

Not fond of [name]Cyrus[/name], but [name]Michael[/name] and [name]Christopher[/name] makes the name sound a bit more grounded which is great.
[name]Cyrus[/name] Dancy sounds a bit odd to me though.

[name]Michael[/name] is [name]Hugh[/name]'s first middle name and [name]Christopher[/name] is [name]Claire[/name]'s fathers name.

I do like [name]Cyrus[/name], very much so, but all I can think about is [name]Miley[/name] [name]Cyrus[/name] (and [name]Billy[/name] [name]Ray[/name])!

I think of [name]Miley[/name] [name]Cyrus[/name] too. It’s…okay.

[name]Michael[/name] is [name]Hugh[/name] Dancy’s first middle, and [name]Christopher[/name] is the name of [name]Claire[/name] Danes’ father. So there’s a family connection.

I personally love [name]Cyrus[/name], and even if the MNs are a little overwhelming, at least there’s meaning behind them.

I give it 4/5.
