I am dead set on having a D middle name for our daughter and we’re between [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] for the first name (with [name_f]Philomena[/name_f] and [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] also in the running.) Bonus points for anything having to do with the sea or the forest!
I’ve searched and searched and so far can’t find many I like that my husband doesn’t hate but I do like:
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Delphine[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f]
Any and all recommendations appreciated (including ones that pair well with [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] and [name_f]Philomena[/name_f] too.)
Doesn’t have to do with the sea or woods but for some reason [name_u]Damaris[/name_u] was the first name to pop into my head. I think it sounds nice with both first names and would be an unexpected choice with some history.
I love [name_f]Diana[/name_f] for you, and the suggestion of [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]. [name_f]Doris[/name_f] was apparently the daughter of the sea god. I would add [name_f]Dolores[/name_f], [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f], [name_f]Delia[/name_f], [name_u]Dagny[/name_u], and [name_f]Deirdre[/name_f], but these don’t have the meaning you are seeking. My favorite combinations for you are [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Daphne[/name_f].
I don’t think I have much to add. I haven’t seen [name_f]Diantha[/name_f] / [name_f]Dianthe[/name_f], [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f], or [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] mentioned yet but I honestly think your combo’s are lovely, I wouldn’t change them!
I love the name [name_f]Ianthe[/name_f] and [name_f]Dianthe[/name_f] was a logical extension, but I think you’re right, the combos I have are my favorite I’m just so pregnant my confidence isn’t fully there
What’s funny is my husband wanted [name_f]Darlene[/name_f] as a middle name because that’s his grandmother’s name, but I’m just so nervous about the [name_f]Roseanne[/name_f] reboot bringing back some serious character associations with that name!
