I can’t seem to fall in love with any D names. I thought it would be neat if when we have a first child if we could use a D name because I’m a third generation D name: my mother is a D name, as are both her parents. I was raised by my mother so it feeling like most of my family is made up of D names! Suggestions for either gender are fine. I don’t want to share names with my family though so [name]Dana[/name]/[name]Dale[/name]/[name]Dorothy[/name] are out.
I tend to like more uncommon names, but not too out there. I shy away from most unisex names, noun names, and last names as first names. There are always exceptions though.
My first ideas were [name]Daphne[/name] and [name]Dahlia[/name]. If you don’t like noun names, though, then [name]Dahlia[/name] might not work. [name]Delia[/name] might be a nice alternative?
Girls:
[name]Davina[/name] (feminine form of [name]David[/name], I believe… there’s also [name]Davida[/name])
[name]Danica[/name]/[name]Danika[/name]
[name]Dara[/name]/[name]Dhara[/name]/[name]Daria[/name]
[name]Deirdre[/name]
[name]Delilah[/name] (not keen on this because of its Biblical ties, but others on here seem to love it, and the nn [name]Lila[/name] is darling)
[name]Demetria[/name]/[name]Demeter[/name]
[name]Diana[/name]
[name]Dulce[/name]
Boys:
[name]Daniel[/name] (uber popular, but completely classic, imo, and so handsome)
[name]Dane[/name]
[name]Dalton[/name]
[name]Dawson[/name]
[name]Damian[/name]
[name]Declan[/name]
[name]Damon[/name]
[name]Drake[/name]
[name]Dominic[/name]
[name]Donovan[/name]
[name]Darius[/name]
[name]Dashiell[/name]
[name]Dean[/name]
[name]Dexter[/name]
[name]Dante[/name]
[name]Dorian[/name]
[name]Duncan[/name]
[name]Dylan[/name]
[name]Devlin[/name]
The only one I can think of that has not been mentioned is [name]Daneel[/name]. It is a female version of [name]Daniel[/name]. I think it is really beautiful!
I have been waiting forever to find someone who will fall in love with [name]Deidre[/name], I say deed ree. I think it suits a red haired child not sure if that would apply to your children.
