Daisy?

Dear Nameberries,
I would like to hear your thoughts on the name [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]. I am thinking that it is super sweet and spunky and not heard often in my [name_m]New[/name_m] [name_f]England[/name_f] neighborhood. It is included in lists of classic names and has always been in the top 1000.
Background: We have considered several classic style names for our daughter, including [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], and [name_f]Julia[/name_f] most recently. But we have not found one we love and I keep changing my mind. Until last weekend when I saw the name “[name_f]Daisy[/name_f]” and suddenly I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] it: [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_m]Reynolds[/name_m]
Here is my concern: The name [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] has been on numerous lists I have seen and I have never considered it. Now, all of a sudden, it is my favorite? Is it just hormones? To be honest, I really want you to tell me that it is perfect for me. But if you have concerns, please let me know.
Thank you! (My husband has taken to simply agreeing to my ‘name of the day.’)

I love [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]. I use to think it was dated and boring. But it is sweet, charming, and ages well. I started liking and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] at the same time. But [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] won me over because it is not as popular. I think it is a great choice. I like
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Camille[/name_f]. Congrats on finding a name that you truly love. I’m so excited to see another [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] being named!!

I like [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]. Very usable everyday and doesn’t need a nickname.
However, best to rule out hormones by thinking on it a few days. I really like your classic name choices too.

I have a cousin who had a baby that she named [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]. It’s not my cup of tea, but I see why someone would like it, and it’s a perfectly usable name. I say keep it on your list. If you like super sweet spunky names I’ll also make a few other quick suggestions for you: [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], [name_f]Mavis[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f], [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], [name_f]Dinah[/name_f], and [name_f]Stella[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]! It’s on my shortlist, as you can probably see, hehe. I have it paired with a cultural name and a “lighter” one. It’s super cute and definitely usable.

I adore the name [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], and have it as a middle name for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] on my list!
I think it’s beautiful, and definitely suggest using it if you truly love it, but, here are some suggestions, in case you’re wavering:

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Millie[/name_f], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Stella[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_f]Polly[/name_f], [name_f]Nellie[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Hattie[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Annie[/name_f], [name_f]Amelie[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f].

For what it’s worth, [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] would be gorgeous!

Sounds like the classic hormonal doubt phase. Your last thread was choosing between [name_f]Julia[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], and now you’re smitten with [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]. I had the same wave of fear over our choices during my last trimester, and found myself contemplating names that were never in my orbit previously. [name_m]Add[/name_m] it to your list, why not? I love [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] too, but I feel she doesn’t have enough substance to age well. And I do know an older [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] who proves me right.

The only flower name that is tolerable! I think it is cute.

I love this name. And I say go for it. Especially a combo like [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], or [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], especially paired with a classic middle name. [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is on my long list. I also like [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].

I adore [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]!!! It’s so stunning, so beautiful, I just love it! I’ve loved it for a long time - it was one of the first names I liked.

[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is adorable! Its short, sweet, perky and feminine.
Good idea to make sure you still love it in a few weeks. But I’m sure you will, its just charming! It reminds me of [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] from Downton [name_u]Abbey[/name_u]. She was a bit annoying at first but developed as a character into a determined young woman.

[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is alright, it seems too hippy for my taste. I do, however, think it would make a perfect middle. [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] or [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] would be fantastic.

I love [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], but if you’re worried about how it ages you could go for a more substantial name that uses the nickname “[name_f]Daisy[/name_f]”. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] or [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] would also pair nicely with your other selections ([name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], nn [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]? [name_f]Lovely[/name_f], and very classic!) so you can have it all!

I like [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] although I do feel it seems a tad bit childish. Daisies are so happy and cheerful though, you can’t help but like the name!

I’ve always found [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] to be boring and rather childish sounding. It won’t age well in my opinion.

Makes me think of Megs daughter in little women
