I love [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] but have a hard time seeing it on a grown woman. Any suggestions on using it as a nickname without using [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]?
Have you considered [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] or is that to close to [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]?
Or [name_f]Margot[/name_f]?
I know adult [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]'s, so I think it works just fine as a full name.
I love [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], even for adults. It’s definitely whimsical but there’s also something classic about it.
Maybe you could use a name like Daphne Zelda (just an example) to get to the nickname?
I love [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]! I actually often do think of it on its own, not attached to any longer name. I think it works well and is so gorgeous.
Really, any name with the “day” sound in it could be nicknamed as [name_f]Daisy[/name_f].
Thanks all! I like the suggestions of a Da Z name and [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. My husband likes [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] on it’s own and now with so many responses that it’s perfectly fine on an adult I’ll have to reconsider.
I love [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]! I think it’s a matter of perspective. [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] was not a popular name when most of the adults we know today were born, so we don’t associate it with adults. [name_m]Just[/name_m] like it might seem weird to think of an adult [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] or [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. That said, I think [name_f]Margot[/name_f] nn [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is adorable as well.
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] has been the name of many, many, many, many grown women. It is great for all ages. Also, all the nicknamey names are so popular right now that when your [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is grown she will fit right in with all her peers.
I love [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] as a full name, but you could possibly use a double-barrelled name (eg. [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f]) or [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f], [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f], [name_f]Sunday[/name_f], or actually any name that has ‘day/dai’ in it.
I love [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], considered it for a while, but I got funny about it after my Dad said it was too ‘celebrity’ for a regular kid like mine would be As for it fitting an adult, I think that it definitely ages well. If it suits the person’s personality it should age with them. Plus, she can always get called [name_f]Dee[/name_f] for short
I think [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is perfect on an adult.
I too love [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]. I always wonder, if names like [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] are “professional” enough though if they decide to be a lawyer or run for president!
You could use [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] as a middle name, and just call your daughter by her middle until she is older.
I think the comments about perspective and what the names will be like when she is an adult have given me the confidence to really consider using it. I also like that it could work as a creative honor name for a family member, [name_u]Dana[/name_u]. Now to find a strong middle!
I love [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]! I think it’s so sweet on a little girl but I do think it’s wearable for an adult. After all there’s a whole generation of Grandma Daisys, so I think that helps.
There was a show called Dead Like Me and one of the characters was a young blonde woman named [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] so that’s kind of the image that comes to mind.
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] was my Grandmother’s name so I definitely have no problem imagining it on an adult.
Thoughts on [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]?
