Daisy

We won’t find out if it’s a boy or a girl for a few weeks yet but I’m obsessing over girl names, as you do. My longtime love is Violet, but a friend is planning to use it, which is kind of breaking my heart! I’m trying to use Violet’s popularity as a way to get over it. I keep coming back to Daisy and I really love it, but the thing that holds me back on committing is wondering if it’s almost… too cutesy? I can’t decide why I think that and am looking for some feedback.

Our oldest is Phoebe, and no, it doesn’t bother me that they both have that same “ie” ending sound. If it’s a boy, we’re planning on Max (Maxwell). If we end up having three kids and use all three names, do you like the sound of Phoebe, Max, and Daisy as a sib set?

I think [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_u]Max[/name_u], and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] are really sweet together!

[name_u]Love[/name_u] it!!!

I love [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], and I think [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_u]Max[/name_u], and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] would make a wonderful sibset! I don’t find [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] too cutesy, personally.

If you love [name_f]Violet[/name_f], I’d say go with [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. Regardless of who else is using is.

[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] are fine together. Though I prefer [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], which sounds a bit more ‘elevated’ as a name? Still a nature name, like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f].

They sound lovely together.

if you really love violet, you should use it.

phoebe, violet & max and phoebe, daisy & max both make brilliant sibsets

I agree with this.

But regarding Daisy, I think it’s a great name (it’s not my real name for the record, just my name on here)! I’ve never once thought of it as being cutesy and it goes really well with Phoebe & Max!

[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is beautiful. It’s cute but also elegant

[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_u]Max[/name_u] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is nice

I know a few Daisys and it doesn’t feel like a cutesy name for any of them, it works really well.

If you’re concerned about that though you could have a Margaret/Margot/Marguerite nn [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] or [name_f]Daisy[/name_f].

Other suggestions: [name_f]Violetta[/name_f], [name_f]Viola[/name_f], [name_f]Lilac[/name_f], [name_f]Lavender[/name_f]

Violet or Daisy are both fantastic choices and go well with Phoebe and Max. I don’t think Daisy is too cutesy - in fact, in pop culture, I feel like Daisy is usually given to a unexpectedly fierce but feminine character. I think it works well on all ages too.

Is Violet completely out of the running? If you both use the name, maybe your Violets could have different nicknames when playing together?

It’s nice!

I think Daisy is a little cutesy but not too much.

I think [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is a very nice name! I like the sound of [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_u]Max[/name_u], and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] as a sib set.

[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_u]Max[/name_u] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] sound lovely as siblings. I also think [name_f]Violet[/name_f] would work.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]. Both work really well with your sibset!

I see [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] more as a little girl’s name, but also love it.

Hey, I know quite a few older (teenage / young adult) Daisy’s and it definitely doesn’t feel too childish.

I think Phoebe, Max, and Daisy are great together! While I used to feel that Daisy was a bit insubstantial, I’ve come around to it!! It’s very sweet.

I know one 20 something [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] and a great aunt [name_f]Daisy[/name_f].

I don’t think it’s too young or frilly or cutesy but if your concerned you could always use [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and call her [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] nn [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] together !

If your long time love is [name_f]Violet[/name_f] I would use it. How often to you see and socialize with this friend. Would [name_f]Viola[/name_f] be useable. [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Viola[/name_f]

[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_u]Max[/name_u] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] go so well together!!
