Daisy 🌼

Forever changing my favourite names, I almost have a different name each week :joy: this is my latest one…it’s been a fave in my heart for years now and even though it’s not the one my head would choose (due to it maybe not being serious enough as an adult, or in their career for example), my heart just feels like it could be my future daughter’s name…

It feels so indie, chic and carefree…

But what are your honest opinions on it? Give me all, positive, negative, the lot!

I like it, for the same reasons you do.

I think it’s very sweet! It’s vintage and fun. I think it works for an adult too!

I’ve known a few people named Daisy over the years, all of whom were adults. The one I am in contact with right now is a manager in her company. All of those who I have known have been plenty seriously in their lives, even as adults and in their careers.

It personally feels too redneck-y to me. I think my first association with it is [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] Dukes, rather than the running through daisy fields in a flowy dress and flower crown vibes others are seeing. Could just be my personal associations and where I’m from though!

[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] has been one of my favourites since forever! It’s sweet and charming without being overly cutesy.

I definitely think it’s pretty and I’d love to hear it more often! For floral names though, I prefer [name_u]Florence[/name_u], [name_f]Fern[/name_f], Rose/Rosemary, and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] which have less of a cutesy vibe than [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] IMO.

Oh I just love [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]! It’s a sweet flower name without feeling too frilly imo. I think it would be fine on an adult. Look at actress [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_u]Ridley[/name_u] for example, I think she wears it well! :yellow_heart:

You’re convincing me how wearable it is  any thoughts on which middle name is best, [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]?

Both are lovely, but visually I like [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] because of the length difference in the names.

Both could work just fine! I slightly prefer [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] because it feels fresher :relaxed: With a last name on the end it would sound super cute all together! But [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] has a nice balance of sweet and classic, you can’t go wrong

[name_m]Ah[/name_m] that’s so tricky, I agree with you both! [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] suits the length better but [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] modernises it slightly!

Surprised no one has mentioned [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] from the Great [name_m]Gatsby[/name_m]!

I think [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is such a sweet name definitely works on an adult and I love both [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] & [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] but I think I prefer the regality of [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] :blossom:
