This is actually out of curiousity more than anything, but I’m just wondering what all you berries out there think of the name [name]Damien[/name]. I personally think its adorable, but I know it has bad roots, because of The Omen, but really, that movie was made 40 years ago, does it really matter anymore? Like I said, I’m just curious what others think, so let me know!!!

There are real life serial killers - [name]Jeffery[/name] Dahmer, [name]Ted[/name] Bundy, [name]Ed[/name] [name]Gaines[/name], [name]Charles[/name] [name]Manson[/name] and so on and there are still babies named that too.
So why does everyone pick on [name]Damien[/name]! I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Damien[/name]! It’s been my favorite boy name for a decade now. I’m using, and people can move on!
Sorry to rant but I feel super strongly about this one. I think people should be more informed and less close minded. I get tired of hearing “people will only think of The Omen” I’ve known several [name]Damien[/name]'s and no one mentioned the Omen and the kids [name]Damien[/name] hangs out with won’t know what The Omen is! I’ve known tons of [name]Jason[/name]'s and no one seems to think “They’ll only think of Friday13th”
Anyway, I love it! Sorry to rant!
I really like it! It’s one of merely two names I like from the boy’s side. I find it to be strictly masculine while having a softer sound, and working for a boy and a man. Being Catholic, the saint connection is a plus as well. I just can’t decide between the [name]Damian[/name] or [name]Damien[/name] spelling.
[name]Damien[/name] was the name of my first bunny! I personally love the name. Everyone I’ve ever asked why they think it’s “evil” they say that it ‘just is’. Very annoying. I think the connection is starting to fade, but the feeling about it is pretty deeply rooted. The only way to change that is to use it.
It would still be on my list if DH hadn’t nixed it due to his sister’s jerky ex who ruined the name for him. 
I still really like it.
