Daneel?

WDYT of [name]Daneel[/name]? Does it sounds like a western/cowgirl name to you? We have gotten so many wonderful suggestions and saw this one and it stuck out to us! We are just not sure if it seems western enough though. We are having twins but are keeping the genders a surprise so we need two girls and two boys names just in case. We are really think [name]Delaney[/name] for one. Would [name]Daneel[/name] and [name]Delaney[/name] be too matchy? Is it too close to [name]Dean[/name]? Does it go with are other children’s names?

I’m not a fan of [name]Daneel[/name], really, sorry… it seems to be a combination of [name]Danielle[/name] and genteel… it doesn’t really appeal to me, but it is nice for someone else’s child. However, with [name]Dean[/name], and if you have a [name]Delaney[/name], too, I do think [name]Daneel[/name] would be too confusing. I think it’s a bit of a blend between [name]Dean[/name] and [name]Delaney[/name], tbh, and [name]Daneel[/name] and [name]Delaney[/name] are too close for twins imo, sorry.

R. [name]Daneel[/name] Olivaw was a robot in some of [name]Isaac[/name] Asimovs novels so thats what I thought of but it also looks like [name]Danielle[/name] misspelled or something similar.

Not really a fan of [name]Daneel[/name], but have you considered [name]Danelle[/name]? I don’t think [name]Danelle[/name] and [name]Delaney[/name] are too close, and [name]Nell[/name] and [name]Laney[/name] would be super cute for sisters. (In the interest of full disclosure, I got the name [name]Danelle[/name] from one half of country duo the JaneDear Girls, but it doesn’t scream “country” to me.)

I love [name]Daneel[/name] personally! I am not sure it is 100% Western but I think it work. I think it could work if you are prepared for all the D’s. It would also give [name]Delaney[/name] and [name]Daneel[/name] the same initials since you talked about keeping the M theme for your daughter’s MNs.

It looks like a misprint of [name]Daniel[/name].
Have you considered [name]Tennille[/name]? It rhymes with [name]Daneel[/name].

Siblings [name]Daneel[/name] and [name]Dean[/name] would made me suspect that the parents are fans of the show Supernatural - one of the main characters is named [name]Dean[/name], and in real life the actor is married to a woman named [name]Daneel[/name]. The hardcore fans seem to tend to be pretty rabid, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see them name their kids after things related to the show.

I definitely do think that [name]Daneel[/name] sounds western/country, but I also think that it would be to matchy with [name]Delaney[/name]. It’s not even the matchiness that really bothers me - I just think that having a [name]Daneel[/name] and a [name]Delaney[/name] would be really confusing in practice and you would constantly get mixed up when you went to call one or the other.
