I voted no because the chances are they will be [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] or [name_m]Dan[/name_m]/[name_u]Danny[/name_u] and [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] or [name_m]Nate[/name_m].

Great names - go with it.

way too close for me personally

I guess it really depends on if nicknames would be used at all, because its the repeated endings that are the problem and even one of them using a nickname would eliminate that problem. However if you were to use the full names all the time I think it would be too close.

I think they work well.

I would probably go with [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] for brothers.

Too similar for my liking. Why not [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_m]Nathan[/name_m]?

I think if they go by nicknames, the nicknames are fine. [name_u]Danny[/name_u] and [name_m]Nate[/name_m]/[name_m]Dan[/name_m] and [name_m]Nate[/name_m] are just fine. But the full names do look a little matchy. I came across a family of missionaries who had two sons similarly named (I think they were [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] and [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], or [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] and [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m], or something similar), and it struck me as odd, but I know we Berries seem to overthink things sometimes. It’s not something I’d do personally, but I don’t think it’s unusable, really. I don’t know if that’s helpful or not, though. Sorry.

Good luck!

I love both names, and [name_u]Danny[/name_u] and [name_m]Nate[/name_m] are cute nicknames for brothers, but I feel that [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] sound too similar. I think [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] are great together.

Thanks all! I agree with the majority. I don’t know why I didn’t notice it at first but as soon as I did it is all I see/hear.

My name is [name_u]Sydney[/name_u], and my sisters name is [name_u]Whitney[/name_u]. It’s a total pain in the ass, and everyone mixes our names up, and when someone says our names or calls for us, neither of us are sure who they’re talking to.

I voted no, because I do not like when siblings have rhyming names. They are extremely similar, and too close for my taste at least.

Twins, yes; brothers, no.

They are a little bit too close for me, but if you really love this names and they are going to go by nicknames like [name_m]Dan[/name_m] and [name_m]Nate[/name_m] or [name_m]Nathan[/name_m], it is acceptable.

Why not [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_m]Nathan[/name_m]?

I prefer [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] as well.
