Daphne as a nod to Lauren?

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] is a good way to honor the name [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] without being obvious? both mean laurel

I think so! A subtle honour

Definitely subtle, but it works imo!

Definitely! [name_f][/name_f] I also think [name_f]Lola[/name_f] is a fun honor for [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] without being too obvious, which I think I’ve seen on some of your posts before too. [name_f][/name_f] What a shame my friend [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] hates both[name_f][/name_f] of those; I would’ve happily used either to honor her. [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Love[/name_f] the idea of [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] to honor a Lauren/Laura/Laurel.

I love that idea! I adore sutle and creative honors. It definitely works.

Yes!

I didn’t understand this honor at all until I thought about the meanings, but honestly, if you like it and it makes sense to you, then that’s all that matters! I think using a name meaning as a way of honoring someone is so very sweet and special.

Very subtle if I was the Lauren being honoured I wouldn’t initially grasp that I was being honoured but I do think it’s a sweet. I did think maybe Laurel could work better as an honour for Lauren?

I think it works! Most people won’t get the connection… but I kind of like it.

[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] would be a sweet honor! Sadly, I think only namenerds would get the connection immediately.

Yes, it’s a good idea.
