Recently fell in love with Augusta as a middle name, but wasn’t considering it with the names I just have to use if my next is a girl which is Daphne & [name_f]Renee[/name_f], because I had felt kinda locked in with Daphne Isabel [name_f]Renee[/name_f] to name the nickname Daisy work, i.e. Da+Izzy. But honestly it’s not anymore intuitive with it and if Margaret can be called Maisie, Daphne can be called Daisy. While I like Isabel, it has no personal meaning to us, whereas Augusta does because our anniversary month is August. I’ve seen a good bit of hate for Augusta and I do see how it can sound a bit stuffy as a first name; however, as a middle I think it’s elegant, strong yet feminine, and for no particular reason it feels poetic to me. I’m not sure if it works well, though, as I originally thought to pair it as [name_m]Esme[/name_m] Augusta [name_m]Rose[/name_m] which feels lighter to me but holds less personal meaning for me.
I think Daphne Augusta [name_f]Renee[/name_f] is beautiful! I like Augusta and completely agree that’s elegant, strong and feminine. I also think that Daisy still works – from Daphne but also the S sound in Augusta makes the nickname feel slightly more intuitive also. I like that Augusta honors your anniversary month too.
It is a pretty combo. I really like [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] but [name_f]Esme[/name_f] is a favorite of mine. I knew a little girl named [name_f]Monica[/name_f] [name_f]Augustina[/name_f] (another feminine form of [name_m]August[/name_m] /Augustine) which I always thought was a pretty combo. I like [name_f]Augusta[/name_f].
I adore [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_f]Augusta[/name_f]. I’ve always thought that they make a stunning combo.
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f] is regal and sophisticated but still with plenty of spark
[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f]. I love love love your combo of [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] Rose… that’s unbelievably gorgeous… not sure if you’re aware but there is an actress called [name_f]Esmé[/name_f] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_m]Bianco[/name_m] (GoT).
I did not know about [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_m]Bianco[/name_m] but it makes sense, the names flow incredibly well. I think mine would be [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f] though, [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] just holds a lot more personal meaning, though I love love love [name_f]Esme[/name_f].
Such a beautiful name
I love it!
I think Daphne Augusta Renee is stunning. Daphne Isabel Renee is pretty too, but Augusta is far more unexpected and just really sparkles to me! Showstopper name!
I think Daphne nn Daisy totally works! Daphne with middle name Isabel doesn’t make more sense to go by Daisy than Daphne Augusta to me. Maybe Daphne with a middle name starting with Z, but not Isabel.
ex. Daphne Zara I could see the story being “my parents called me D.Z. and people misunderstood that as Daisy”.
And I prefer Daphne to Esme.
But what I’m saying is Daphne Augusta Renee “Daisy” is beautiful and you should 1000% use it.
Thank you so much for this reply, I agree with you and I think we will if this baby is a girl Crossing my fingers
