[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] has recently popped up in my life, and I’m a little taken!
What are people’s thoughts and feelings on this name? Beautiful? Awful? Out dated?
We like Greek names, feminine names, and I have a love for floral/nature names, so I think it ticks a lot of boxes… but I’ve never met a [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], hence my wondering if there is a dislike of it for some reason? Or has it just accidently fallen by the wayside??
[name_m]Keen[/name_m] for your thoughts! Middle name combinations also welcome if you have any sparks of creativity!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] the name [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]! I’ve never met one but one of the main characters on ‘Switched at Birth’ is named [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]! I think its a unique and beautiful name! I seen it spelt [name_f]Daphney[/name_f] or [name_f]Daphnee[/name_f] as well
I love [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]! It’s a personal favorite. I think the name is just overlooked. [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] doesn’t have the “liquid” sound that’s so popular right now.
It feels kind of dated to me, but it could be how it immediately makes me think of the Scooby Doo character
Some suggestions: Rotho (a Greek word that means [name_f]Rose[/name_f]), [name_f]Petunia[/name_f], [name_f]Begonia[/name_f], [name_f]Margarita[/name_f] (Greek version of [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]), Hyacinthos (Greek version of [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f]) Levanda (Greek version of [name_f]Lavender[/name_f]), Paschalia (lilac plant in Greek), Orchidea (Greek version of [name_f]Orchid[/name_f]), Mimoza (Greek version of [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f]), Heranthemo (Greek version of the evening primrose with nice nn [name_f]Hera[/name_f], [name_f]Anthe[/name_f] etc), [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f], Tulipa ( Greek version of [name_f]Tulip[/name_f])
[name_f]Do[/name_f] tell me if you like any of them!
I had this opinion a few years ago. All I could think was Scooby Doo. I totally forgot the name until now, and the connection isn’t there for me any more. I think it’s lovely now. funny how things change.
My first thought was the Scooby [name_f]Do[/name_f] character, so the name has a slight ditzy damsel-in-distress vibe to me That association aside, I do think that there is something about [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] that makes it okay as a name…I just can’t place my finger on it lol. To me, it’s like [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]…not really a name that I particularly enjoy, but one that holds a glimmer of appeal nonetheless.
I’ve never met a [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], but I’d like to! It’s not something you hear everyday!
I know a [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]! When I first met her I thought it was the prettiest name I had ever heard. I quickly named my prettiest hamster [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] (I was 12) and now the name will always remind me of a hamster hahah

I have a [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] in my Kindergarten class right now! I love the name. It’s so unique (seriously. Name a name that sounds similar to [name_f]Daphne[/name_f])
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] would be beautiful.
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] is one of my favorites! I never watched much Scooby Doo as a kid, so I don’t associate it with the franchise. One of my mom’s friends has a daughter named [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] who is just adorable. My combo is [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f].
