[name_m]Hi[/name_m] Berries, so I looked up my name and saw this comment; “Attending crochet classes at the Senior Centre with her friends [name_f]Arlene[/name_f] and [name_f]Marlene[/name_f]”. What does that mean for me lol…I’m not even in my 20’s yet. What are your opinions on this name? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you know someone young with this name or would you ever consider using it on your child? Why/why not? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it could come back in like the older names are now? Please let me know, I am eager to hear your opinions!
Unsure about Australia, but in the United States, [name_f]Darlene[/name_f] was most popular in 1958. Here, it’s no longer in the top 1,000.
Vintage is currently the most popular style of old-fashioned name, but retro names like [name_f]Darlene[/name_f] are starting to gain popularity again, too.
[name_f]Darlene[/name_f] was my very first favorite name, when I was 5. I still have a great fondness for it. Sure, I think it could come back!
[name_f]Darlene[/name_f] is still very dated. I’m sure it will come back but not for another 10-15 years. It’s NMSAA.
