Oh gosh, I’m not really a fan of either name so I’m not much help.
[name_u]Darren[/name_u] seems very bland to me and [name_m]Daxton[/name_m] is at the opposite end and sounds very trendy, I think because of the x.
I guess between the two I’d pick [name_m]Daxton[/name_m] because of the nickname.

Congrats! I’m torn because I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the nickname [name_m]Dax[/name_m], but don’t love [name_m]Daxton[/name_m] as much. [name_u]Darren[/name_u] is nice, however, depending on how you say [name_f]Clara[/name_f] ([name_f]Claire[/name_f]-uh vs. Clah-ruh), it might be a bit repetitive to say the names together. I just ended up saying [name_f]Darra[/name_f] and Claren in my head. I assume that hasn’t been a problem for you though, so i’ll vote [name_u]Darren[/name_u].

[name_m]Daxton[/name_m] seems very trendy to me. On its own it’s not a very common name but it blends in with the crowd of Dexters, Jacksons/Jaxons, etc. X is very trendy right now.
[name_u]Darren[/name_u] is a great name, I like it a lot. It ages very well and I can imagine it on anyone. It’s also familiar without being uncommon. Additionally, [name_u]Darren[/name_u] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] go together better than [name_m]Daxton[/name_m] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f].
I prefer [name_u]Darren[/name_u], for the reasons others have given. [name_m]Daxton[/name_m] is trendy and blends in with all the Jaxtons, Braxtons, Jacksons, Paxtons…[name_u]Darren[/name_u] has more longevity, I think, and won’t immediately let people know, “oh, you must have been born in 2016.”
However, I do think [name_u]Darren[/name_u] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] sound a bit rhymey. It’s not TOO rhymey so I think you can still do it.

I chose [name_u]Darren[/name_u] because I think it’ll age a little better, comparatively. [name_m]Daxton[/name_m] stands a good chance of getting lost in the crowd of [name_m]Jackson[/name_m], Jaidens, and Jaxons, which may or may not be a consideration. You’d have to decide how much it bothers you. (This also may be less of a problem depending on where you live, but those seem to be everywhere in my area.)
