Dash, Flynn and .....

Any ideas for an unusual but not weird name to go with my boys are welcome!

We love Bayes but everyone else seems to hate it. My husband if obsessed with [name_m]Hart[/name_m], but won’t people hate that? I have to admit I like it too, just don’t want my son to hate his name!

Some others I like are [name_m]Rome[/name_m], [name_u]Reeve[/name_u], [name_m]Keene[/name_m], [name_m]Rocco[/name_m]… I really like the initial R for boys, and short names.

Thanks guys!!!

Are you looking for another one-syllable name or just a short name?
[name_u]Dash[/name_u], [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] and:

Either. It’s not a rule, I guess I’m just drawn to one syllable names, either as a nickname or on their own.

[name_f]Love[/name_f] your suggestions, especially [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_m]Levi[/name_m]. My husband says they’re too common, though

I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] your son’s names! [name_m]How[/name_m] charming and romantic! I think [name_m]Hart[/name_m] would work really well, actually, Bayes is NMS but I don’t see anything wrong with it.

A few ideas for uncommon names:

[name_m]Chevy[/name_m] (I really love this name, to me it’s a mix of macho, casual, cool but could also have a sweet nerdy vibe)
[name_m]Cael[/name_m] (or [name_m]Cale[/name_m])
Zeth (I have a friend in [name_u]London[/name_u] with a little Zeth)
[name_m]Russell[/name_m] (nn [name_m]Russ[/name_m])
[name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] (a bit like your preferred [name_m]Rocco[/name_m])
[name_u]Reggie[/name_u] (I know a 1 year old with this name, he wears in well)
[name_m]Jock[/name_m] (Scottish variant of [name_m]Jack[/name_m])

That’s all that comes to mind for now, hope 1 or 2 are useful

Also just thought of:

[name_m]Beau[/name_m] / Beauden

[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] such a gorgeous name! Niceto see you back.

[name_u]Dash/name_u & [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] are awesome names! I don’t think of Bayes or [name_m]Hart[/name_m] in the same way. They feel more like beachy/preppy to me, whereas [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] and [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] feel distinguished yet edgy. Some great suggestions so far (I love [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], & [name_m]Zane[/name_m]). I also like [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] of your choices. Some off my list:

[name_m]Caspar[/name_m] nn [name_m]Cas[/name_m]/Caz
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] nn [name_m]Rhett[/name_m]
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m] nn [name_m]Jas[/name_m]/[name_u]Jaz[/name_u]
[name_m]Maksim[/name_m] or [name_m]Maddox[/name_m] nn [name_u]Max[/name_u]
[name_m]Ozias[/name_m] nn [name_m]Ozzie[/name_m]
[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] nn [name_m]Raff[/name_m]/[name_u]Rafe[/name_u]

[name_m]Clark[/name_m], [name_m]Rhett[/name_m], or [name_m]Harvey[/name_m].

I like both [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m], [name_u]Flynn[/name_u], and Bayes and [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m], [name_u]Flynn[/name_u], and [name_m]Hart[/name_m].

I like [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] for you. [name_m]How[/name_m] about another name that ends with double letters - [name_u]Abbott[/name_u], [name_m]Beckett[/name_m], [name_m]Bennett[/name_m], [name_m]Garrett[/name_m], [name_u]Everett[/name_u] ([name_u]Dash[/name_u], [name_u]Flynn[/name_u], and [name_m]Rhett[/name_m] - so adorable), [name_m]Jett[/name_m], [name_u]Merritt[/name_u], [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], [name_m]Marshall[/name_m], [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]

What about a longer version with nn [name_m]Hart[/name_m]?

I think [name_u]Bay[/name_u]/Bayes works well with your names as well.
What about?

I met a little guy named Rook recently (actually it may have been spelled Rooke) but it would go will with [name_u]Dash[/name_u] and [name_u]FLynn[/name_u].

I love [name_m]Hart[/name_m] and I think it goes phenomenally with your boys names. I don’t think I could come up with a better combo.

I think [name_m]Hart[/name_m]‘s fantastic! Like the poet, [name_m]Hart[/name_m] [name_m]Crane[/name_m]. It goes well with your other boys’ names as well. It’s my favorite from your list.

I like [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] and [name_u]Reeve[/name_u] as well.

[name_m]Ry[/name_m] / [name_m]Rye[/name_m]

Maybe [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] instead of Bayes. I knew a kid named [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] once and he pulled it off well. It sounds great with your other boys names as well.

I prefer [name_m]Hart[/name_m] or [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] to Bayes. [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] and [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] have a spunky and swashbuckling vibe to them. Here are some suggestions.

[name_m]Declan[/name_m], with nn “[name_m]Duke[/name_m]”

woah I was shocked to see this! My old post from 4 years ago (different name because I can’t figure out password!). [name_m]How[/name_m] did you find it?

my suggestion is [name_m]Rhett[/name_m].

I really love [name_m]Hart[/name_m]. I don’t think it’s weird at all. My only thought is that it’s simpler than your other boys names… so to keep the style going, maybe a slightly longer name that you can shorten to [name_m]Hart[/name_m] (like [name_u]Dash[/name_u]).
