We have a two year old boy named [name_m]Jetson[/name_m].
We found out last week that we are having another boy in [name_u]December[/name_u], yay!
But my husband and I have two names that we like equally and just can not decide. Please tell us which you prefer. We like a name that is unique but not difficult to say. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband is a writer & I am an artist, so we like creative names. Here are the two names:
Dashel ([name_u]Dash[/name_u]) or [name_m]Ajax[/name_m]
If you’re looking for unique, go with [name_m]Ajax[/name_m]. [name_u]Dash[/name_u] is becoming way more mainstream. However, [name_m]Ajax[/name_m] contains [name_m]Jax[/name_m], which is super popular… hmmmm…
I think [name_m]Ajax[/name_m] is really nice actually.
But since [name_m]Jetson[/name_m] has a lot of similarities to [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] it feels like [name_m]Ajax[/name_m] is also towing that “[name_m]Jaxon[/name_m]” line.
For that reason I’d go with Dashel. It fits nicely with [name_m]Jetson[/name_m], yet holds it’s own. [name_u]Dash[/name_u] is super cute.
I prefer Dashel “[name_u]Dash[/name_u]”. [name_m]Ajax[/name_m] feels a bit like it’s trying too hard, whereas Dashel feels effortlessly cool to me. [name_u]Dash[/name_u] is such a sweet fun nickname!
I would choose [name_m]Ajax[/name_m]. When I hear of [name_m]Jetson[/name_m] and [name_u]Dash[/name_u] together, I can only think of motion. Like, “I’ve got to dash”, or “I’ve got to jet.”
I’d have to say [name_u]Dash[/name_u]. I really like [name_m]Ajax[/name_m] due to its origins in mythology, but I think you’ll have too many people associate it with the cleaning stuff, and I bet that would get annoying real quick.
You are pronouncing it ‘eye-ax’, right? If so, then I like it. If you’re going with ‘ay-jax’ then I don’t care for it. Many will assume you named him after the dish soap.
[name_u]Dash[/name_u] & [name_m]Jetson[/name_m] sound matchy; like you were going for a speed theme
I love [name_m]Ajax[/name_m]! [name_m]Jax[/name_m] and [name_u]Jet[/name_u] make a cute sibset, too. If he ever wants to blend in he has the option of going by AJ also.
Dashel just sounds girly to me and [name_u]Dash[/name_u] is just so-so.
I like [name_m]Ajax[/name_m]. I know a little [name_m]Ajax[/name_m] who has been through a lot but has been so brave so I see it as a strong name. I’m really not a fan of Dashel.
