Any opinions on Dasher for a boys name?
nn [name]Dash[/name]?
Of course the reindeer might come to most peoples minds.
Could it be used on a human? Or is it too engraved in our minds as a pets name?
I prefer [name]Dash[/name] or [name]Dashiell[/name] nn Dasher.

It could be pronounced by some people the same as [name]Dasha[/name] which I’ve only seen on girls. But if that doesn’t bother you, then I guess it’s okay.
The first thing that came to my mind was the reindeer. I think [name]Asher[/name] or [name]Dashiell[/name] would be better alternatives.
Yeah, the first thing that came to my mine when I saw the title of this thread was “and [name]Dancer[/name] and Prancer and Vixen.” [name]Way[/name] too connected to the reindeer. I think [name]Dashiell[/name] would be 100% better.
I agree, why not [name]Dashiell[/name] if you like the sound and the nickname [name]Dash[/name]? I can only think of a reindeer. That has huge teasing potential.
Dasher is a reindeer name who joins [name]Rudolph[/name] and the gang every [name]Christmas[/name] to do their toy run with [name]Santa[/name]. [name]Dashiell[/name] nn [name]Dash[/name] is 100% usable and preferable. End of story.

You know, I’m not one for kreeaytif naming but I don’t think Dashel would be such a sin. It looks less like [name]Danielle[/name] than the proper [name]Dashiell[/name] spelling.
simply too bad that everyone prn’s my cousin [name]Dashiell[/name]'s name wrong. And I agree, Dasher is just too reindeer-y. What’s wrong with just [name]Dash[/name]?
I call my [name]Dashiell[/name] Dasher at [name]Christmas[/name] time, but that’s it. Dasher is way too Reindeer for a real boy. I recommend [name]Dashiell[/name] 100% though! [name]Asher[/name] is also great!
Yes i have to agree that [name]Dashiell[/name] sounds best! But if it were me id actually just go with [name]Dash[/name] as the name. Theres nothing wrong with it as a full name and if thats going to be the nickname anyways whats the point in a longer first name?

I think Dasher is great! I doubt a Dasher would get teased. In fact, I bet a lot of kids would be envious of his name. And it’s substantial enough for when he gets older.
The others are right in that Dashel or [name]Dash[/name] might be more refined, though.
