I’ve always like [name_m]Ted[/name_m], it’s my Grandfathers preferred name- his full name was [name_m]Edward[/name_m] but he never went by it. I really like [name_u]Wallace[/name_u] but not so much [name_u]Wally[/name_u]. I really like [name_u]Rudy[/name_u] too
[name_m]Rob[/name_m]/[name_u]Robbie[/name_u] is great, i see such a guy (like, a good looking firefighter who plays soccer on the weekends) when i think of those.
Well, I see your point! I’ve been fond of some great Jimmys, but it is not a great name on its own. [name_m]Chuck[/name_m] is my own personal hell name.
I also voted for [name_m]Tim[/name_m] (DH :)) and [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] (Not so fond of [name_m]Timmy[/name_m] or [name_m]Ted[/name_m], but what can you do?) lol
I have a soft spot for [name_m]Timothy[/name_m]. I think it’s a underused classic. However, I wouldn’t use [name_m]Tim[/name_m] or [name_m]Timmy[/name_m] as nn’s. I would choose [name_m]Timo[/name_m] (tee-mo) instead. [name_u]Douglas[/name_u] is ok but I dislike [name_m]Doug[/name_m] or [name_m]Dougie[/name_m] for nicknames.
I like [name_u]Wally[/name_u] as it was the name my grandfather answered to instead of [name_m]Walter[/name_m].
I don’t like [name_m]Timothy[/name_m]/[name_m]Tim[/name_m] (bad association), same with [name_m]Bob[/name_m] and [name_u]Robbie[/name_u].
However [name_u]Wallace[/name_u] is handsome as is [name_u]Rudy[/name_u] and [name_m]Jim[/name_m] (I have a soft spot for [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m]/[name_m]Jimmie[/name_m]).
I personally don’t really like dated names, I voted for [name_m]Scott[/name_m] and [name_u]Douglas[/name_u] but I don’t think either of them are dated at all. It’s probably just the different areas or countries.
