Dated names in your culture

I definitely see similarities to where I’m from as well, most of these are mom names rather than grandma names where I’m from (Except [name_f]Sandrine[/name_f] who’d be more 30 and under and [name_f]Fabienne[/name_f] would be more a grandma)
And except [name_m]Thierry[/name_m] and [name_m]Fabrice[/name_m] (which aren’t common here) those are definitely also dad/grandpa names I see here as well.
How interesting!

Oh, can I ask where you are from?

@Luminen oh how interesting! The cultural lag is real. In the US it’s not uncommon for millennial/Gen Z children of immigrants to have “grandma” names, I presume because those are the names their parents associate with [name_f]America[/name_f]? For instance, I just met a 20-something named [name_f]Gladys[/name_f].

@whimsyberry interesting how the same names are mom generation/grandma generation in two different French-speaking countries…
