We’ve been talking about having a third, we have a boy name picked, & we already have two girls, [name_f]Briar[/name_f] & [name_f]Layla[/name_f].
Middle name on our third girl will be Jo… my husband is set on Isla… I think [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Jo[/name_f] is beautiful but is it too similar to sister [name_f]Layla[/name_f]?

I do think [name_f]Layla[/name_f] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f] could get confusing since they are both two syllables, end in -la, and have a the same rhythm/cadence to them. It would also make [name_f]Briar[/name_f] stand out a lot because it is so different sounding than [name_f]Layla[/name_f] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_f]Ruby[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] are two of my favorite names!
I think Ruby is your best option here. It has a similar vibe to Layla and Briar, but removes the similar sounds that come from names like Isla and Nora (both beautiful but I don’t love Isla and Layla or Nora and Briar).
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] is a lovely name, but it does sound a tiny bit like a blend of Briar and [name_m]Lay[/name_m]la - not so much though that it would be a total deal breaker for me though. Still, if you’re questioning and concerned about it, I’d say keep it on the list but explore other options - as you’re doing
[name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Jo[/name_f] is is bright, bubbly and lovely - possibly my favourite option - but [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Jo[/name_f] is great too!
Personally I do find [name_f]Isla[/name_f] too similar to [name_f]Layla[/name_f] I would find the overall sibling set a bit of a tongue twister. I wouldn’t go with this choice. However maybe [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] would appeal? She says the same starting letters whilst feeling fashionable working well with your girls.
I love your three other options! I think they are the better fit. [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Jo[/name_f] feels sparkly, summery and stylish. [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Jo[/name_f] I think sounds fab with your girls!
[name_f]Winnie[/name_f] & [name_f]Nora[/name_f] feel more vintage in comparison to Layl@ and Br1ar which have a more modern flair. [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is a sweet name that is rising through the popularity ranks within the UK rather understandably and I think paired with [name_f]Jo[/name_f] she’s very fun with a southern [name_f]Belle[/name_f] sound. I think [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is the most surprising choice within your sibling set. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Jo[/name_f] is such a fun name and I think provides a southern cowgirl flair too your sibling set which I really like.
[name_f]Ruby[/name_f] is my ultimate favorite. I think it’s perfect & I love love love the nickname Ru! Husband is not for it. not even pregnant, so plenty of time to get him on board… I hope

I agree that [name_f]Isla[/name_f] is too similar to [name_f]Layla[/name_f].
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Layla[/name_f] do sound pretty similar. I think if you’re calling them or saying their names quickly it could get confusing.
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Jo[/name_f] is adorable and I think that fits beautifully!
I love [name_f]Isla[/name_f], and think it could work if you both loved it, but it is pretty similar to her sisters name, and if you’re not sold on it I would keep looking.
Personally I love [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], but with your sibset O think [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] is a great git.
